I think I recognized some of those sound effects from Bugs Bunny: Lost In Time which was another game I played the poo poo out of as a kid.

Fun fact about Gillegex Isle: I asked my mom what an isle was when I got to it, then spent the entire boss fight confused about why it wasn't taking place in a supermarket.
