Does the dog food have to be dry or wet? Does he have to eat grass after and throw it up on his living room carpet?

You can legitimately get cat food that is basically just canned seafood medley (it makes you feel really weird when you open it and it smells really good) so I think you need to set a rule that he has to eat one of the lovely brands and can't spend $4 for a can of what would basically be steak cubes in gravy. You know, in the spirit of the challenge.

Oh so I can't buy Chunky savory pot roast? And what do you mean by lovely brand? I'm looking through dog treats on the internet and it all seems edible. The only thing I can't eat are the chicken bones.

I think that it should very specifically be Beneful Healthy Radiance. He's already gone through the effort of calculating how many calories 1 dollar of it will get him and determined that the ingredients will ensure a long, healthy life so why waste that research?

IDK http://www.amazon.com/Purina-Benefu.../dp/B0009JRUT6/ AHAHAHHA quote:I bought this dog food because the bag showed pictured of veggies and chunks of meat, and with a name like "Beneful" I thought I was purchasing a nutritious brand of dog food. My dogs did eat this food, but after reading the ingredients I completely regret purchasing it and feel just awful for feeding it to my dogs. The first three ingredients are Ground yellow corn, chicken by-product meal, and corn gluten meal. How disgusting is that?! The main ingredient is a corn filler. One thing my vet told me a while back that I never forgot: "When you eat corn, what comes out of the other end? The same thing happens with dogs." Basically, dogs cannot digest corn, it is just a filler and causes them to actually eat more to feel full, poop out more, and retain less nutrients. The only meat in Beneful at all is a by-product, its not even a real meat! By-products are the stuff leftover once all the actual meat is harvested. We're talking beaks, chicken feet, eyeballs, even chicken poop! I would not recommend this product to anyone, for any reason, ever. It is an absolutely awful dog food. I can't believe the pictures of veggies and full chunks of meat on the bag can be allowed to be on the packaging of such a disgusting product; it is very misleading and should be considered false advertising.

Avoid Ol’ Roy Dog Food: Cheap Ingredients Make it Fast Food for Dogs http://www.dogandcatexperts.com/ol-roy-dog-food/ quote:Both consumer reviews and reviews by organizations that review several brands of dog food give very low marks to Ol’ Roy dog food. Unlike the best dog food choices, this food does not contain a named source of protein. In fact, all of the ingredients are of inferior quality. What does that even mean? Is it horse meat? Armadillo? Roadkill? Where does the protein come from!?

You should nix the Beneful and go for Purina Pro Plan. My dog loves that stuff and it's got way more protein. MSM is always the first ingredient in all the varities (my dog is on the Salmon for his sensitive skin and stomach).
