I also think most NA users get worse pings on EU servers than EU players on NA servers. I saw loads of 300-600ms pings from Americans, but most Europeans don't go over 150-200ms on NA servers.

Yeah, I've got the cheapest connection I can get and I get around 200 ping on NA servers.

I agree about having the server in NA. I'm in the EU () and I can't think of a time I ever had a problem finding a 200+ player server.

EU goon, I don't care about ping either way so if the official is an American server go for it. This forums community has quite a big NA population so why not?

That is Duke Dickbutt. The founder and leader of the draGoon regiment, a man of four foot two spawned by a young Marquis de Sade and a drunk reunion with a new fangled counting device he was the only man to lead all the armies in the Napoleonic Wars and a master and inventor of the art of butt fencing.

UK goon here. Most NA servers seem to be fine for me, not sure how bad the ping is but I can usually get a few kills on them.
The bigger problem is my university internet connection which just stops working for no reason every now and then.

You can mute the terrible terrible random bullshit that is screamed in the server chat channel by going to mute, then at the bottom and tick mute all players. Most of us use the TeamSpeak channel if you want to communicate like a human being or just listen to us make lame dickbutt jokes.

Don't do this, though. You want to see the chat! While this game has it's share of terrible internet chats like everything else, but there is a fair share of teamwork going on, too. Take a look, join people's pubbie movements where your team sticks together and kicks rear end.

You especially shouldn't turn off chat in, say, a goddamn linebattle where the other regiments are trying to talk to you.

It's not like it's not ignorable, anyway.

Edit: V They're not that bad and for two we actually haven't been in with them since the DLC came out, I think.

Some pubbies footage of the pubbies led by 5arge on the line battle that happened on tuesday, suicidal draGoon standard bearers dance with death around nine minutes on this one and sightings of us on their right flank.

And in this one we witness the 3rd and final bayonet charge that spent us in the foggy field map. We also see Arbite performing his close range at the last second kill with a looted Austrian rifle 17:00 mark and Codename Pinks survival skills are tested. We also see the pubbie charges at our Goon Alamo fort.

When a Reddit regiment jumps into a line battle they spam the poo poo out of the chat channel so nothing useful ever is read in it again. If your the officer don't do this but I still think you should do this for line battles with Reddit if your a ranker because otherwise half your screen will be a jumble of terrible internet comedy and the obnoxiously huge kill messages. Obnoxious but a clever psychological tactic if you ask me.

Ya, but i seriously think other people need to just watch youtube videos.

i mean the amount of time youd save and confusion that would be lost by just knowing the basics and knowing what you have to do would be amazing.

Pretty clear that those pubbies knew exactly what to do

It could sort of work, but don't expect ship on ship battles (the engine couldn't handle that). Maybe stationary anchored ships with a few cannons on their sides at the most with longboats armed with swivel guns doing the fighting.

Was a pretty fun line battle, although I prefer the chaos of a "real" battlefield more. And I learned how loving hard it is to actually hit something, even when targets are grouped up. Need to practice that more.

Anyway, a couple of screenshots from me: http://imgur.com/a/QY5No

That's actually something that I have been thinking of - how credible are our formation tactics? We are standing shoulder to shoulder when firing volleys of musketfire at the enemy line, but once we are given the order to charge everyone goes on their own.

Shouldn't it be the other way - a slightly sparser line when gunning but close up when charging/receiving a charge?
