maketakunai posted:For you explorers, I put together a little image showing how to get to Sunken Harbor, though there's not much there yet, you can at least hook up to the SIN network there. You have to fly through some melding, but there shouldn't be too much of a problem. This is quite difficult. The gliders are sensitive down to the pixel, if you veer off course in the slightest you might as well dive bomb into the water and start over. You absolutely must be higher than the palm tree or else you will drop short of the shore and die in the water. I can make it to the bend just before the thin part of the warp, but it drops me into the water every single time.

/\/\/\ I have absolutely no issues running this game at 70-100 fps at all times with an i5 2600k 8g of ram and a gtx 460 at 1920x1080.maketakunai posted:For those that remember the previous event Red 5 did at PAX, with the codes and the badges, they're doing another one, involving a group called the Hellhounds. The site implys that it can be figured out without being at PAX.

I think those cards are from PAX Prime 2011. I posted them because of the character info that I thought might be of some use. The full Pilgrim image I got from the thread on the official forums. I have been trying to find photos of the swag for firefall thinking that someone might unknowingly photograph one of the cards, so we can get an idea of what we are working with here. I even tried to look up all registered domains that begin with "http://firefallthegame.com/" but it seems like they pulled their domain from GoDaddy and host the sites on their own servers. NEW INFO! quote:It basically shares some form of information about something that will come in handy later on. quote:Hey there! Just heard about firefall while at PAX east. For non PAX goers, I'll explain the stations things. Firefall set up a scavenger hunt in the convention center where at each station you had to perform a task to become certified as a class (recon, dreadnaught, etc.) You get a crystallite and a stamp on your card for completion of that task. Crystallite could be redeemed for swag at firefall' s booth. A fully stamped card also awarded extra swag. Now, the reason I'm posting is that I was intrigued by the code thing found on the banners at each station asking that it be decoded to help capture Pilgrim. The code was a capital letter followed by a symbol. I got a pic on my phone, but currently no way to upload it. However, I will write out the code as best I can. Unoriginal, we need to get some of the APB crew in here. I'm in game as Lego, if anyone sees me on don't hesitate to toss me a blind invite. I'm always up for thumping!

Adam Bowen posted:So dropping thumpers and guarding them is basically the entire game right now, I take it? It's pretty fun but I had the impression that the game was a lot further along than this. Have there been any indications of what the game will be like at release, and what kind of PvE content we'll be spending our time on? There are a few world events like dismantling a downed thumper while fighting off waves of Chosen, and another one just outside of Copacabana that involves turrets, a ton of Chosen and a mothership. I assume there are going to be raids on the towns because of all the deployable turrets and player controlled anti air guns scattered throughout. Near the mothership event thing on the coast of Copa, sits a small tower that also has deployable turrets, a battleframe station and some other stuff. I guess the tower needs to be powered up in order for those things to activate, but I haven't seen anything regarding how one would go about that.
