I loved playing this game, and I wish I could track down copy of the DS. Be sure to show off the game-breaking inventory cheat at some point in time.

Metalix posted:Not gonna lie, out of all the DQ games, this one and number 8 were easily my favorites. That being said I honestly prefer the DS version of this one. Can't help but appreciate all that they added into it and the changes made were mostly in the game's favor aside from a MASSIVE increase in bad puns and Sancho's...Sanchoness. I understand he's secretly running a massive Panza scheme.

Mountaineer posted:It was a reference to DQ3, actually. The Godbird Empyrea identifies herself as Ramia at the very end of DQ8. Ramia was the name of the bird you hatched in DQ3. DQ8 states that she can travel between dimensions, so it is likely the same being in both games. As an interesting sidenote, I should also point out that Rubiss can be found in DQ VI (at least the DS version), so there's a connection between the first two trilogies as well.

The Big Eye enemies in the tower can join in this version, however, and make decent healbots for a while, as I recall.

I vote for Bianca. It's the best for all involved, really. Bianca gets to reignite her sense of adventure, and Flora settles down to play domestic goddess to a guy who is no kind of hero, and tried to be one just to impress her.
