It's a noxious combination of MY BLACK FRIEND and an wide-eyed amazement that black folks follow this crazy internet and premium TV thing. It's like they're bowled over that we can appreciate programming that isn't Def Jam or some poo poo, and this guy gets a golden star for his uniqueness. But the guy himself seems okay. Is it really that hard to understand that people are able to appreciate situations and characters that don't necessarily reflect themselves? Maybe it's just easier for black people to do this since it's not like the medium is overflowing with positive characters with melanin heavy skin. EDIT: I couldn't even finish reading the thing, in case they asked him to dance or something.

Jezebel has always been really gross and idiotic about non-white perspectives. Not just the writers, but the commenters, too. They've had several controversies and exoduses from the site over it. That article was so uncomfortable to read.

I really, really enjoy the dynamic between Hannah and Adam. I can't believe I was ready to write this show off after the first two episodes as it's now become one of my shows to look forward to.

ohhh I missed the preview. Caught up on posts from the last couple of weeks just now and the people bitching about Adam sure look like dipshits now. But then again, I think that reaction is a testament to the show, before this episode we only had Hannah's selfish view of Adam.
