I wonder how attrition will accumulate in this series; seeing how some of the "late game superpowers" are now common-fare, or at least, no-longer unique to <5 characters

Alpha Kenny Juan posted:And the one thing that blows me away: This Is Only The Third Episode. of 12 this season, we are 1/4 through! I think they said the show creators also said they wanted each season to actually reach a conclusion in case things didn't pan out or something, so we may see the end of Amon by the end of this season? I too am calling out Amon though, I betcha his face is perfectly fine under that mask. either his story is fake or his and Mako's stories are related somehow. I noticed how Korra's lack of spirituality is also gonna be a hurdle for her what with Amon's claim that the spirits think the avatar has abandoned them.

Im fine with this episode, things were kept interesting with the tournament sub-plot as well as Bolin being awesome. and the best part is, all this shipping garbage is now out of the way until Asami turns out to be some sort of Equalist infiltrator or some poo poo, and that probably won't happen until near the end of the season. Next episode: Explosions! Kung-fu! probably that scene where Amon party-crashes into the pro-bending arena that we saw in the "stuff dat's gon' happen this season" montage after the premier. SpiderHyphenMan posted:Am I crazy, or does there seem to be an assumption from a lot of people in the thread that Pro-Bending is going to continue after the next episode? yeah I think after/during the next episode it is all gonna focus on Amon, Airbending and possibly Spirits from here on until the end of the season. namesake posted:Edit: Wait does it have a sleeve without an leg in it? That's some bad tailoring.

I think Tarlok is gonna dump Korra out in the middle of loving nowhere. then she can go on a good ol' fashioned spirit journey, Native-American style. come back to town with airbendin' powa'z, free her friends, help lyn get her metalbenders, take down Tarlok, then deal with Amon.

VanSandman posted:Also no way is Amon properly energybending, he's using some advanced chi technique. and if that is the case, we will eventually have a rabid bloodbender on the loose again

I enjoyed the spectacle of the whole thing, but looking back some of this does seem dumb: Tarlok outright saying he planned to succeed where his father failed, then later lamenting that he and amon turned out to do just what their father wanted despite hating him for earning this series #1 dad award While amon being a bloodbender was fine and does properly explain why when he took someones bending it ended with the person physically drained, (also, I would guess Amon learned how to use bloodbending to shut-down the part of the brain that controlled bending) AVATAR STATE YIP-YIP solving everything is still kind of a cop-out. Katara good-bloodbending everyone back their bending would have honestly been a more acceptable solution, but I would have liked the idea of Amon giving everyone permanent brain-damage. speaking of Amon again, loving waterbending into a giant spout outside in front of all of those people? there is no big enough, let alone the fact that, while the main part of his scars washed off (I would have honestly expected him to be fanatical enough to had those scars self-inflicted) but I noticed the detail of his scarred lips even washing off.but all of this is forgiven due to seeing everyone else here lose their poo poo over this. Reading back through this thread today was just as entertaining as when I was actually enjoying the show.

turns out I had Nick on my channel lineup when I shouldn't have, so the cable company fixed that for me. I still got other channels, and more importantly, my internet is untouched, so I can just wait for the next season's episodes to be put online.

: Um... are fruit pies an agricultural product?
