I finally got in, and I think this game is griefing me. No idea what to do. I've been walking around for several minutes now and haven't seen a single thing to pick up at study or whatever.

If you try to find the goon camp you'll probably get so lost in the wilderness that you will find plenty of smooth stones (but no goons). That's pretty stupid. Welp, I guess Paradox griefed me good then. I was excited about playing this all day when I saw I got the invite email on my phone, then I load up and it's pretty much just a lovely walking around simulator.

Welp, walked around for an hour and found nothing but some plants that I could eat but didn't give me any points for anything. Was almost to a goon town apparently then some guy asked if I was a witch and then killed me. Now I'm back at Boston with nothing. Maybe wandering aimlessly is fun for some people, but if I'm going to start out in a game I'd like to see at least some progression in the first few minutes. This game is like reading the first chapter of 2001 except it just stays totally boring and never gets interesting. I guess I'm done now.

Turns out you just wander around the wilderness and don't do anything because they game gives you absolutely no opportunity to progress. I'm past the learning curve. I know how to do what I need to do based on tutorials and walkthroughs. What I'm stuck on is the fact that the game won't let me do any of these things because I haven't wandered out for several hours and gotten murdered enough times yet. Maybe that's fun to some people, but this isn't the game the developers claimed to be developing. Edit: I'm going to keep trying to play this game. Did this game ever become fun to play? I remember getting excited to play it in the days before it came out. By the time I was able to log in, there was absolutely nothing to do as the entire newbie area had been stripped clean of anything you needed to progress. I tried for two days to have fun in this walk aimlessly through the woods simulator, but it was still terrible.
