What this game really needs is an autolog type thing, so that when you login it gives you updates on which tracks you've had scores beaten by friends. At the moment I have to scroll through loads of different screens separately to do it and it'd be nice if I didn't.

I just posted this in the 360 thread but meant to post it here so sorry if you see this twice and think I'm being dumb (I am).

I'll say this about Gigatrack - it is well named. I've been bagging a fair few Plats, but man, I'm not sure I'll bother going for the Gigatrack Plat. When I Golded it, there was a sense of finality; like I'd rather do anything than race Gigatrack again.
I golded it on my third or fourth run, it's nowhere near as bad as everyone says. Use the 450cc bike and take your time, you're allowed 6 faults and you can still get gold. I'll grant you it's not much fun falling off 6 minutes in so platinum will be a bitch, but gold is perfectly possible.

For anyone who hasn't played yet, this video accurately sums up the Trials experience:

How does one procure a platinum medal? I've no faulted tracks in decent times on the easy and normal courses but I've not seen any mention of platinum medals.

When you get 135 medals the times will show up and any platinum times you've already beaten will be credited.

The first track of the game can go to hell I've platted a fair few tracks now - but I cannot for the life of me shift the last hundredth of a second or so that I need to plat the first track. I just can't do it. Its like I could plat everything else in the game, but never manage to plat the first track

I got it eventually after about a billion attempts, it's seriously more frustrating than almost all of the hard and extreme tracks because there seems to be an element of luck involved in the last crater/ramp combo right before the finish line.

I keep seeing people talking about setting rivals, how do you do that, I haven't seen an option anywhere?

Hooray for beta! Can't wait to play this game in delicious 1080.

Remember the NDA extends to even discussing the beta, so be careful.
