 There's a lot of terrible ideas on Kickstarter, but I can't bring myself to dislike them. They made Wasteland 2 a thing, after all.

Because that's not how kickstarter works. You'd need to put up your own dosh or take out a loan, and hope that everyone who donated meant every cent.

Of course, with Double Fine, Wasteland 2, and Shadowrun, getting that $1 million dollars to hire Duke Togo would be pretty easy to get. However, now that I think about it, that $1 million dollars is 1969 dollars, so that's around $6 million today.
