After spending the last two or three days and nights in DayZ, I couldn't help but order my own fifty slot server. I've got four friends to play with now and at least three more installing the game now. I'll post the server address here as soon as I have it up.

Check out my server Visit the forum http://www.teamsaints.org/ Read my installation guide http://teamsaints.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1 Synnr posted:What does armour and netstats do? And what version? I don't know what armor does. What I do know is the default Veteran difficulty servers have armor=1. So, I'm using armor=1. The server is running v1.7.0. Kung Fu Jesus posted:The only thing I really look for on a server is having show names off or whatever its called. Basically, I don't want to be spotted by name from a distance when someone scans the horizon. Also, if you reverse the day/night cycle, I will always be on your server. Names are turned off. I don't believe I have the ability to change the server's time. I'd do it if I could. Gunder posted:Where is the server? What timezone? My server is Atlanta 10. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) -0400 UTC. It is currently 1:07AM in Atlanta. However, there is still some light on the server. Some people were saying their watches read 9 o'clock. Amalek posted:First of all, this game is great, the concept is awesome The game is already very stable. I haven't crashed once in twenty hours of gameplay. If you have experienced lag, you may be playing on overloaded boxes. The servers I was using were hosted by WTF. They were great. But my Atlanta 10 server has not yet experienced lag. Nearly forty people and 600 zombies were on when I logged out a few minutes ago. See my installation guide above. It's not simple, but it's very easy to follow my directions. Regarding zombies walking through walls, I have not experienced that. They can climb ladders and sometimes open doors, but not walk through walls. I'm running 1.7.0, though. I have never logged on and found items missing. I have, however, spawned without any gear besides my weapon, ammo, and bandages many times. d-whee posted:Your server has been the best I've tried so far, except when people started spamming side channel and crashed it. I'm working on that, now. I'm going to enforce the latest beta onto my server and disabling the chat channel (except direct obviously)

Being able to lure people to their deaths is awesome and must be kept possible! Side chat is the best It's not really my call. The developer made this change in the latest update. I can't stop those assholes from coming in and spamming the whole with loud, obnoxious noises. IRSmurf fucked around with this message at Jun 5, 2012 around 01:03 |

Thom and the Heads posted:Is it just me or is the Steam guide in the OP terribly unclear? Because that didn't get me anywhere near working. After following copious other guides, I'm redownloading ARMA and OA now because my UI was hosed up in game (I couldn't use a bandage because my Inventory screen looked completely different from everyone else's and right clicking did nothing) and I was greeted with a new error every time I booted up the game. Is there not a definitive way to install this? The little bit I did play was fun and intense but it was so loving frustrating watching myself bleed out because the UI was broken. I wrote this guide to installing DayZ for Steam users: http://teamsaints.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1

Synnr posted:Hey man your server has tags on. So I dunno if you hosed up a setting or what. Odd. I know if you're de-synced the tags may appear. I have just confirmed with three players on my server, as well as on my own screen, that tags are not turned on. If you continue to see them, please let me know. Thank you for the feedback.
