Either buy one and deal with not fitting into it (which is a lovely idea), don't buy one and keep being fat (also a lovely idea, but only because you shouldn't be a fatass), or lose weight and the car can be your reward (best idea). e: Don't cut corners trying to wedge yourself into it. Small cars aren't built for towing.

Maybe the OP has a long torso. 6'1" and 190 pounds is a far cry from 6'1" and 340. That's like, you plus another, slightly thinner you both in the driver's seat.

Lief posted:Everybody needs to drive a vehicle--even the very tall. Yes, but OP isn't very tall and should therefore be made the subject of fun. Incidentally, that quote reminds me of my old voice teacher's stepson who was 6'11". The only car they found that would fit him was, of all things, one of the newer Beetles, and the one they got him was that weird pinky-orange color. It was always bizarre seeing him unfold himself to get out. This all came in the wake of his stepmother refusing to drive him around anymore once she got her C-class; his head hit the roof pretty badly and the only way to avoid kinking his neck was to open the sunroof.

Rythe posted:but if your lazy, broke or unable to crawl under a car go buy a 4 cylindar Mustang or a Cavalier with a Lambo Door kit on it. There is literally no middle ground between a car requiring a lot of TLC and a riced-out piece of poo poo.

Rythe posted:True I will give you that, unfortunately most imports around here are all riced out pieces of poo poo that sound and run like hell. RX-7s just take a bit more love and tender care than normal cars do to keep them in good shape and running fine. Plus your average mechanic is not going to know poo poo about rotary engines, a lot of that knowledge is going to be have to be self taught, trial and error, good Mazda forums and learning from other rotary owners. My point was that your suggestion that if he's not mechanically-minded or lazy that he should settle for a mutilated 4-cyl Mustang or Cavalier ( e: Nothing against the Ecotec (which is what I assume you meant), but when someone mentions RX-7 "Cavalier" is not the first place my mind goes. I'm more baffled by the "Lambo doors" requirement.

No bigs, I'm a little slow at the best of times so it was probably equally that. Totally agree with you, in that case. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
