How in the absolute gently caress is this game nearly 30 gigabytes? Is it crammed with hours of 1080p video or something?

My first time through I ran with easy and struggled with having enough painkillers. Second time on Hard I almost never had less than three. This game is all about memorizing enemy placement and lining up headshots in slo motion, so your first time through you might as well play on hard for the extra trophies/achievements. It will be challenging the first time no matter what setting.

Well so far they have yet to add more time to the clock and if it keeps going down the game will unlock around 6am for me. Lovely! Can't wait to play. Shame that Rockstar refuses to confirm if there is a replay editor available. Let alone larger multiplayer battles. But I guess 32 players is too much for a game like this.

Gunder posted:Usually it's just uncompressed sound or textures. Probably both. That, and early an interview was posted with the lead PC dev and he said the textures are 4 times as big compared to the console textures. Rockstar has also been trying really hard on making the story elements of the game better so that's why the audio is largely uncompressed. Plus there is a lot of motion capped stuff, but I'm not sure if that directly relates to the large file size.

That's funny, Amazon Canada says my copy shipped earlier today and should arrive tomorrow. And I picked free shipping and stuff to, so I guess it's time to be disappointed when it's actual arrival is next week. I can still hope though. Hell, I just pre-ordered the PC version yesterday. 22 Eargesplitten posted:If I remember right, Euphoria also takes up a lot of space.

Yeah, if you go for Hard it might take you a bit longer. I think I clocked in close to 15 hours on the first playthrough. Hardcore/Old School were a lot shorter, though, becuase I knew exactly what to expect out of each level, how to approach the targets, and most importantly, where the extra painkillers are located. Hell, I think that last part alone makes the game dramatically easier even when the targets aim better and hurt more.

There's a TON of detailed texture work in this game. Max himself will usually get reskinned three or four times per level depending on what happens to him, and every other character has multiple outfits throughout the course of the game, and they all have texture mapping for cloth movement when they walk. It's kinda nuts.

The only time 8v8 works is in Gang Wars because you don't spawn right next to someone ready to kill in you before you can even switch to dual wield

I think that might be why you went 64-17 on Branco. That is seriously not the place to be using a mini 30. You'll just get dumped on by someone using pistols, SMGs, or a shotgun and keeping things close. Is there any good resource for multiplayer loadout mechanics while we're waiting on the PC release? Like how to figure out how much poo poo will weight aside from just trial and error?

You will die a lot, especially when you are still using the standard mag since it takes about a whole clip to drop someone without headshots, but it's worth it when you have dualies.

If you dual-wield the 1911 and the 92, do you only get half experience to each or do you basically get double experience?

Not that they were unbearable on that version.

Until then, just use one if those and a PT92. Kills while dual wielding count as a kill for both if the weapons. Though, personally I prefer dual PT92s with extended mags. 25 rounds of justice in each hand

As a pc Player, I can't say I honestly don't notice much difference on the pc version's videos at least, other than it being clearer looking. I'm thinking the PC version might shine in multiplyer graphics though, and not be lowered the way they seem to get on consoles.

I'm pretty sure when [PT92 M1911] or whatever pops up in the killfeed it will count for both weapons, but if you run out of ammo for one pistol it will only count for the pistol that did the killing.

Decrypting has started on steam! It actually went smoothly for once! Looks like it'll take a while, though. No surprise given the file size.
