Thankfully this is a game that maintains multiple quicksave slots. It'd be great if you could mod in something like CASM from New Vegas, to maintain like thirty + autosaves.

I just learned something that makes me feel like a drat genius. Often I'll be toting around one gun, and for whatever reason this one gun's ammunition will be rarer then gyrojet ammunition. I learned that if I empty out ammo boxes or clips then sell them to a merchant, I can then buy the boxes or clips back full of ammo! Well, at least this is working for Jim Bob, but I'm sure it'll work with every other merchant. Also I'm selling them by selling them straight from the trunk of my car. Its also great for abusing if you wanna hold more then 100 rounds of loose ammo, say using the HK23's 150 round magazine. Empty it out, sell it, buy back to get another stack of 150 rounds ![]() Also pretty useful in getting armor piercing rounds when merchants only stock like 1 pack at a time.

I think there's a slightly random chance as to whether a merchant will start reselling things you've sold them. Because I've seen it happen and seen it not happen. Dunno what if anything affects it though.

Neat. though CASM also has a bunch of configurable things, so it's not just autosaving when entering/leaving a town. Having it auto save every ten or fifteen minutes and when entering and leaving a town. with a buffer of thirty saves would be great. Also, good to see you posting again. I've actually been reading that unfinished LP of this game on RPGCodex cause I'm currently without my computer.

I'm way behind, but I haven't completely forgotten getting this into the archive. Before I wrap it up with a bow on top, I need to go through all the early posts and change to larger image thumbnails. For those who might still be playing, BSM is up to v2.0 patch 3 (new game required) and R@S has fixed the Palineran troops not turning hostile at the SIGINT post.

Hey good to see you again, Ras. Glad to hear that there's a new BSM in the pipe. I'd offer to help test but I've been having computer issues. Maybe in a month or two. The actual JA2 1.13 thread in games has kinda become the JA:FB thread. I'm hopeful for the game, but I don't really have high expectations. I hope it comes together, because they seem to have good ideas and play and like 1.13, but we haven't really seen much from them other than a freemium iOS game and SpaceHulk which isn't out yet.

There are many new things coming in the next version, a bunch of new enemy models and 4 new sectors, of which two are for the random encounters. I'm not sure If there will be more maps done before the release, but if there is I'll add them as well. And don't worry about helping, I think there'll be enough in that department. But still, if you have some spare time, I've never been one to say no to help. EDIT: could you link to that thread? I don't have search privileges and am a lazy SOB

The random encounter maps get old but the game could really use more fun-in-buildings shooting stuff, like the hotel in Santa Maria.

Cool.
