And every time I click the button to buy it the thing complains that the offer isnt valid in my region. You know, North America? Edit: Ok so I couldnt buy it through the website I had to search for it through the Xbox, and only by using 'search by title' Gutcruncher fucked around with this message at Jun 6, 2012 around 09:51 |

It seems like every DLC pack contains the full set of items and then unlocks the particular parts you've paid for... kinda like a compatibility pack! If it turns out that they're forcing people to download all the items but still can't make them visible online then WTF.

How does the PS+ sub work? The games they offer are ours till the sub ends or they're avaiable after it expires?

Ok if you own both bundles for custom, you only need 1 dled and both will show. So yeah they both have all the info in them.

Honest Thief posted:How does the PS+ sub work? The games they offer are ours till the sub ends or they're avaiable after it expires? You won't be able to play them after it expires, but whenever you subscribe to PS+ again you will be able to use them again. So you can buy a couple of months now, download/play whatever you want, then subscribe again months from now if you decide you suddenly feel like playing Just Cause 2 or VF5 again. The same goes for game data you upload to the cloud, you still get it if you resubscribe. Just keep in mind that automatic renewal for PS+ is on by default, so turn that off in your account settings if you use a credit card.

http://www.youtube.com/user/shibakiw?feature=watch This guy has a ton of vids of what I can only assume are his Jean against other players. Some japanese VF5 cabinets have direct uploading to youtube so that might be what this is. Probably a good starting point.

Spent most of the night getting my rear end handed to me by Jeans and Eileens. Poor Wolf, you are so slow...Online play is pretty good, even when I had someone with no bars. It's just hard as poo poo to play a throw-heavy character well online, even after my fight jitters eased up. As for Jacky, from what I remember he's all about pressure. You can do some nasty stuff just off his basic jab. His elbow is crazy good, too (f+P). EDIT Or yeah, just go to virtuafighter.com and get actual useful info! Not much up about FS yet, but a majority of the VF5 stuff should still apply.

Is the customization feature still a "here's some colors/patterns you can only use within these 4 or 5 sets" and not at all that much different from the 360 release of VF5? Or have they really gone nuts and added a bunch of new stuff?

You can attach costume pieces to basically every section of the body (top of head, face, neck, upper right arm, etc) and there are 100+ pieces to choose from for each section. Also a shitload of color options.

On VFDC they list combos with strings that have stance changes, which she can't even do in Final Showdown. Anyone know where I can find a good starting point for FS combos? The only thing I can find on VFDC that is up-to-date is the movelist, but it is not complete; some moves are listed as "sabaki", but what exact moves do they beat out? Elbows, punches, low jabs? Please tell me there is somewhere I can get basic information for this game. I'll actually buy the iOS movelist app if it contains complete information as well as combos.

I've just been looking up YouTube videos for characters and checking out what seems to be working. I'm sure in the next couple of weeks we'll see a bunch of info pop up. Just search "VF5FS Jacky" or whatever character. I've been using it mainly to find some different wall/juggle ideas. One thing I noticed while looking for Wolf vids: most of the Vanessa players changed her skin tone to be lighter, but alot of Wolf players have made his skin darker. Weird stuff.

Dark skin Vanessa 4 eva. I've playing nothing but her and I'm bad. I haven't played Virtua Fighter since evo came out on the ps2 so that may have something to do with it. She seems slower than I remember and since it's day 2 everyone is still doing their chosen characters fast jab combo and nothing else. I need to figure out how to beat this Especially against Brad when he does his jabs and goes tsh tsh, if I get hit with that I never escape.I'm on PS3 as MSX6800, let us duel.

Anyone on PSN willing to teach a complete newbie to VF? I haven't touched the series since the first one on Saturn. I go online after an hour or so of tutorials, and can't even touch people. I'm not new to fighting games, I have a TE and am decent at Capcom fighters. This feels alien and scary.

Evil Canadian taught me the ways of the Wolf way back when. I like to think that my game's gotten better since then. I've played about 15 matches and there was only one Jean player that I couldn't do anything against. I think my favorite match so far was against a not-too-good Jacky. I lost the first match because I played dumb and got caught in his combos. But then, the second time around, I blocked low, watched him whiff for a while, and just low jabbed half of his health bar off. Once I got him worried about his defense all of my attacks started getting through. It was amazing on PSN as eeeviltom
