There is an unofficial patch for Sounds of Skyrim that corrects the crashes some people were getting. I'm running it on my latest install.

I'd also like to recommend to people:

Battlemages Arcane - Tactical Spellcasting -It only adds a handfull of spells, but its a nice (and usefull) boost to your selection if you don't want a 100+ new spells mod.

Enchanting Freedom -Allows you to put any enchant on any item slot, because gently caress you, that's how we did it in Morrowind and Oblivion. Also includes some old school weakness enchants, some silly enchants, and some visual effect enchants. Will obviously allow you to make yourself stupidly overpowered.

So I broke Skyrim. My save game bloated to 70+ MB and it stuttered every few seconds, going from 60 FPS to 0 FPS.

I re-installed it and was more careful with my mods this time. My save is down to 30MB. Everything is working great, except all the guards are naked, even in vanilla. My save had RNG Dynamic Guards enabled, and this time around I didn't download it. I thought maybe if I re-download it the guards will be dressed again. Nope, still naked, even after waiting a whole week (in-game). Is there way I can fix this without resurrecting every drat guard in the game? With a new character all the guards are dressed. It's very surreal to see because I installed Better Males, meaning every guard has a dick hanging out.

This. Given the hoops you have to jump through to get them and cast them, it blows that they're practically useless due to the huge casting time.

Why. Why would you do this?

You will have to manually resurrect. It will take a few attempts before guards start automatically spawning that way.

You could also go into a player-owned house (like Breezehome) and use the console to advance the timescale and make all the cells reset.

set timescale to 10000000

will make a few months go by. To set it back to default, use

set timescale to 20

MAGNICIFENT!

As much as I enjoy the idea of the Master of Time and Space spell mod, in practice it's a bit annoying to use. There's a reason they don't show extended cuts of spell casts in the promo vids - because the slowdown also applies to the point-of-view visual effects applied on certain spells.

While walking through a snowy Winterhold frozen in time is pretty cool, walking around blind for thirty seconds due to the twenty ice spears you just launched in slow motion is a little disappointing.

It also lasts about twice as long as it needs to.

Edit: This was after three casts. And the visual effects stack.

Which is a shame, because launching a dude in to space with twenty Force Pushes (another of his mods) is amazing.

You need to get the Complete Crafting Overhaul and its associated mods (it's in the OP). Lets you craft the armor of any faction you are part of, including guard armors and poo poo for cities you are Thane of. I now have a full suit of Nightingale that's pimped out for Archery, Light Armor, and resists.

Kind of a weird thing, but the amount of mods available is overwhelming and actually keeping me from playing the game...

I really just want some basic improvements, things that enhance the vanilla experience (graphical, UI, sound packages, etc), but even the collections titled "BEST SKYRIM EXPERIENCE" are packed with 60+ mods.

I know it's me though because I had the same issue with Morrowind and Oblivion, start picking out mods, get frustrated, and find something else to play.

So this tower defense mod is pretty interesting. It's not really AMAZING, because it can get really tedious really quickly, but it's an intriguing proof of concept. You start off wearing Iron or Leather (or Robes) and can progressively upgrade your equipment, as well as upgrades to your fortress and your hirelings. You can buy NPCs that automatically generate resources, which are needed for the upgrades. You get gold by killing bad guys. It's pretty straightforward.

There's several problems, though. The first is just that the game can't handle all this poo poo happening all at once, and you get performance issues because of that. Secondly, waves increase the number of enemies incrementally, which means you start having rounds that last 20+ minutes. The increments are, thankfully, configureable, but it's still pretty tedious after a while.

The worst problem, though, is the fact that your NPC hirelings, even when fully upgraded, just get swarmed and raped constantly. Fighters in Daedric gear, Archers in Dragonscale, Mages upgraded to level 3? Doesn't matter, they all died to the endless waves of poo poo. You can't get the Archers or Mages to stay on the loving walls, so instead of raining death they just charge into melee and get raped repeatedly. This then means that all your resource gathering NPCs loving die EVERY SINGLE ROUND. Of course, once you've completely upgraded the fortress, none of that really matters since the upgrades for hirelings only cost gold and ingots (which the miners make), and once they're all upgraded you're just spamming gold on more hirelings.

There's also Hero units, but right now they seem to be a crap shoot. You can have people like Rikke, Tullius, Ulfric, Galmar, etc., as well as Ysgramor and loving Paarthurnax. The only one that seemed worth a drat to me is Paarthurnax, and only then because he at least does some damage and doesn't get killed instantly. Ysgramor got wrecked faster than one of the generic Fighters, and Rikke wasn't much better. I suspect the Heroes really aren't working as intended.

Regardless, it's not a BAD mod, despite my bitching. It's an interesting proof of concept, at least. If you just want to run around and kill dudes mindlessly, then 5 or so rounds in it won't hurt. There's even dragon "bosses" that spawn in, although if you're running Deadly Dragons I really would disable them, because fighting crazy badass death dragons when you're stuck in Iron armor is not fun.

So the way I understand the dungeon system works is that once you go in, it sets the dungeon to your level. After that, even when it "respawns" or whatever it's forever stuck at that level.

Is there a mod that makes them respawn at your level, or just sort of reset back to be level-determined next time you roll back into it?

It really kinda kills the desire to go back through an already cleared dungeon if it's just gonna be dirt-easy this time.

For the guy that was asking about Cloaks of Skyrim, this is what a regular black cloak looks like on my character.

As you can see, there's some clipping at the lower left corner, especially noticeable with greatswords. It doesn't bother me that much, but it's definitely there:

There's also some clipping in the front depending on the weight of the character and the type of cloak (regular or linen):

The linen cloaks aren't attached to the model so there's quite a bit more clipping, but the regular cloaks are attached at the heel so it doesn't look too terrible in battle:

The armor is the Warmage armor from the Omegared99 pack.
