I'm interested in getting into boxing, and there are a few gyms around me, but I'm curious: is it common for gyms to have any equipment besides the ring? Like do any boxing gyms also have a freeweights section or anything? One of the gyms I am looking at says membership comes with "access to weights" but they don't elaborate or have any pictures of them so I dunno if they mean a decent selection of freeweights or "we have 2 dumbbells in the corner". I'm a poor college student and the cheapest actual gym around here is Golds at $120 for 3 months with no contract. I'd love to pick up boxing put dropping another $55 a month on top of the cost of Gold's is pretty rough. If a boxing gym had enough stuff for me to knock out a basic lifting routine too it would be perfect.
