I played a bunch of the PC version just prior to full release and played a good 4 hours today of the Xbox version and holy hell are there a lot of monsters in this version comparatively. I am getting my rear end handed to me. Took me 2 hours to find a good cave (bad luck) and then was getting stormed by at least a creeper + 2 archers almost constantly. So aggravating

Longbaugh01 posted:I'm pretty confused by whether the auto-save even exists and how it works. Does it only work if you make it an "online game", because multiple times I have "lost connection to the server" (wait I'm doing an offline world...) only to reload my game and find out I've lost a game day of progress sometimes. I think the auto save is only kept in RAM kinda thing, so if you die the world is the same but it's not a "hard" save. You have to save on the menu or when you quit out. I actually kind of like that in case I really bugger something up and want to revert.

Longbaugh01 posted:Makes sense. So what about losing connection to the server in my NOT online game, which kicks me to the main menu without being able to save? I un-tick my online play and it works fine? I haven't tried playing it while being fully offline though system-wise. Or is that what you're doing as well?

Rupert Buttermilk posted:Yeah, really. Like, 4 stacks of coal will keep you for a LONG time. Well, I think one of the achievement guides stated that you can just have a stack of 5 bones and then tame + reload x5 and it should work, but I haven't done it myself yet as I need to scrounge up more bones.
