Most boss fight chambers are locked in a way that the players cant engage the bosses before you finish watching a cutscene. This might not be the case for the repeatable boss ones but the big story ones work like this. So dont be afraid to sit back and watch story scenes in dungeons.

That is not at all true.

You can watch the cutscenes again in your inn room if you end up with speedrunning assholes.

No, I've seen it. In dungeons like Totorak and Stone Vigil you will be physically incapable of going to the boss area while someone is watching the story cutscenes. There will be a barrier that prevents players from starting the encounter.

Neither of those are "big story dungeons." You can and will have assholes lock you out of the boss fights for the last two dungeons in the story if you watch cutscenes like a normal person.

No, they're thin and poorly developed because, by equipping GFs over the course of the game, you the viewer lost your memory of their development. FF8 is very meta.

I don't remember that, but in that case, it still leaves Hydaelyn and FFXII's best summon. Watch everything divine be primals. Watch Midgardsormr be a primal despite the staff saying he's not. Watch the protagonist turn out to be a primal of the original heroes fused together and the warrior of darkness turn out to be their bad sides fused together. And when we fight in the next expansion we become Goku.

I still can't get over the fact no one's mom has a name in the game.
Of the three parent sets that matter:
We know Jecht is Tidus' dad but then there's Tidus' Mom.
Braska is Yuna's dad and then there's Yuna's Mom or I guess Cid's Sister.
And finally we have Jyscal Guado and Seymour's Mom.

It really bugs me. I wonder if Nojima was trying to send some sort of message, given that #1 and #3 were both absolutely terrible. None of the other moms in other FF games written by him have been particularly good, either. I guess Cloud's mom was okay, for the one scene with her where she has about three lines. No wait, there was Elmyra, Aerith's adopted mother, who I don't think anyone ever told that her daughter was dead.

Writing moms is tough.
