Covetous Shen is the best Jeweller ever

Seriously, the first likeable quirky NPC thus far.
I hate every single follower and the dialogue that comes with them. Can't wait to blast through normal and do nightmare with buddies and be done with them forever. I wish I could instead take that little jeweller fellow everywhere, I don't care whether he does nothing but keep me entertained.

Some Act 2 End Boss Spoilers/Tips:
Belail, the final boss, is super unfriendly to melee. The trick here is to just out last him. This involves basically constant movement to avoid the green meteors of death and his massive claws. Just keep moving and res friends after the meteor storms!

I stood toe-to-toe with him on my barb and didn't have to pop a single potion the entire fight, a few percent damage leech and Rend healing was enough. Seemed pretty easy compared to the other bosses.

Nearly on Act IV playing wiz (I think), and my arm is getting sore from all this clicking and kiting poo poo. Still not sure how long I expect to be playing this, since it is my first diablo experience. Item progression continues into the stratosphere, right?

Really? If I didn't move before the green before he did, I was dead, it was a pain and took like 4 tries. Maybe lag, or gear issue

Well, about halfway through Act 2 I found a few rares with a ton of Vit on them which really made the rest of the act and the start of A3 a breeze. Then I tried swapping over to full Str stuff and was getting wrecked so had to go back to a bit of Vit gear. It made a pretty big difference for me.

You'll be collecting new items, and upgrades for many years if this is anything like Diablo II.

I have a possibly stupid question about companions. I keep the gear up to date, but they do fuckall damage (about 3 per swing with a 19 DPS weapon, stacking strength). I only keep the templar around for passives and for him to grab mobs off of me. Is this how it's supposed to be, or is it bugged?

Does it seem like there are way fewer magic drops and stronger/unique enemies in this than in D2? Maybe it's just because of the difficulty level, but I've barely seen any.

It's just you, I've had around 20 or so Uniques and god knows how many Champions spawn and am wearing 3 yellows right now.

I hope Battle.net eventually lets us create our own private chat rooms. It would be very nice to have a goon channel in-game. I like how the chat system works in Diablo III, but in its current form it's very limited.

I'm level 38 in the second half of Act 2 NM and I have yet to see a Legendary or Set item (and just got punted off for maintenance)... I keep thinking all the journals are set items, but nope, they just lead to a voiceover!

I think the game is decently challenging, I've died a fair number of times (especially on some of the bosses), getting 1 shot happens fairly often as well - even in normal.

Is the weapon damage every skill refers to just the DPS that is shown in the character or is it literally the raw damage numbers of the currently equipped weapon?

My little group finished Normal earlier and I as a Demon Hunter had about 1k DPS and the Monk and Barb had much less than that, so I'm wondering if that stat is relevant at all.

If you add a CE to your vanilla account, will that stuff just pop into your inventory, or will I have to roll a new monk?

I just bought the game but have not played it yet, is there a way to set it so I don't have to hold down the mouse button? Just set it so I can left click once and my character will follow my mouse cursor and a and left click again turns it off? Torchlight made my finger hurt.

Gold is very important in Diablo III. There are huge gold sinks in this game, and you need to save every piece you get.

I've been playing co-op with a friend and I just noticed that he's getting achievements but I am not. We checked his achievement score and he had 230 and I'm stuck at 150.

If I play co-op and my friend is the host do I not get any achievements? That would really suck.
