Okay, I've decided to attempt a Civ V G&K LP, now that I've got a non-crap computer and some time on my hands with the semester ending. Fargle's LP is entertaining but there's no way he can show off everything G&K offers in one go. This would be a Boudicca run to show off religion supporting military expansion. My only questions are, should I run most of it in Strategic View, which is less graphics-pretty but much more visually comprehensible (you can tell where hills and rivers are, etc), and what is the optimal way to get screenshots that won't break the forum tables? Run it at a smaller resolution by default or manually tesize screen grabs afterwards?

Oof, recording (with screenshots) the first proper session of my LP of Civ V G&K. Trouble is...I had the "misfortune" of being the runaway civ on a huge continent all to myself which runs completely counter to the stuff I wanted to show off (specifically, using religion as a weapon to weaken and destroy my enemies). Time to re-roll!

Mmm. drat. I really want to do a Tropico 4 LP next but my primary computer is a Mac and the jokers responsible for porting it to OSX are unwilling or unable to release the DLC for it, so it wouldn't be able to show off everything that could be shown off (it'd have Modern Times, but none of the DLC missions or extra buildings like the labor camp, the plantation, or the superhero costume). You think anyone would give a crap about that except die-hard Tropico fans?

The reason why I brought it up is because I just got the "Director's Cut" of Lone Survivor on the Vita and it controls a lot better with controller controls than a computer keyboard, for whatever reason. Also I can curl up in my bed with earphones in the deep of night to "enhance the experience." Too bad nobody has capture equipment for the Vita...

So I'm leaning more and more towards doing a good Tropico 4 LP. Now, Tropico 3's LP was just of one single standalone freeplay session with votes for every single new decision...since Tropico 4 has an actual campaign and stuff I don't think it'd be effecient to do it that way. Would I/Should I restrict the votes to scenario choices (of which there are a lot)? Scenario choices are stuff like, say, for the mining-based mission deciding which minerals to focus upon exporting; some of the stuff involves humorous and unforseen consequences. Additionaly Tropico 4 has a sort of prestige system where all your customizable traits start off at a low level but get permanently enhanced for every mission you beat with them (for example, "Administrator" cuts the prices of buildings by 2% at level 1, and by 10% at level 5, "Flatulance" makes your palace guards cost more but makes rebels take longer and longer to dare attack your palace when they strike). Would an LP be better served by showing off a clean slate run where they're all zeroed out or do you think it'd be okay to grind a few of those?

I think what I'd do is, I'd let the readers decide what traits to pick, but for each mission I'd personally pick a new background/rise to power for each mission since those have a more significant effect on mission parameters just so I'd not be too screwed over (like the miner background for the mining mission, etc.) El Presidente is so good at propaganda he can change his backstory to suit his whims! Also I loved your Tropico 3 LP.
