I've been trying to come back to the game after a year long absesnse and I want to know what the deal is with the lag? The game is completely unplayable right now since I'm getting 1k+ ping no matter what I do. I tried updating all my drivers, shut down all background programs, disable firewall, tried running it on several computer, different servers, changed all my router settings, fowarded ports and nothing works. Is this a widespread issue and is there a way to fix it? I had no problems a year ago.

I'm sort of curious about that too, I find that when I alt-tab out and pop back in my ping jumps up a decent amount. This doesn't always happen, but it happens enough to be noticeable.

Once upon a time there was some program called Lester(so?)'s latency fix. Ran that when I played wow as that was what it was designed for and now I get no higher than 48ms latency on wow or d3. Iuno how it works but I have no issues with it.. Still have my accounts too.

I took a break before MP level was added and now I've started grinding for keys but I'm unclear about MP and public games. Am I right in thinking that the ONLY way to get help with the uber bosses is to find someone outside of the game, add them to my friends list, join a party and then play? Like, there is no way to just join a Public game that has MP already set? Why would they do it that way?
