Also does anyone know when/how to get the next Generalist suit? Like my research queue is chock-full of stuff I can research to get higher-tier specialist suits, but I'm wondering about the next Generalist one. Edit-- also for those running low on energy/Shield points/whatever, remember that you can request gifts from allies multiple times, so by all means spam that "request gift" button and I'll gift them to you. Just remember that you can only accept 50 gifts a day.

Yeah, I was till fumbling with stuff, but as soon as I found out what I was doing things went a lot better. Thanks to anyone who sent me poo poo ![]() Also, holy poo poo Iron Fist is a beast. I got his second power, The Iron Fist, and that loving thing crits like every other attack and one shots the gently caress out of enemies.

Iron Fist becomes really fun when you spend a few rounds using his level 9 skill. I was doing that for kicks and his evasion got so high that he was dodging anything coming at him, and what did hit him was pathetic for damage.

Shards are available for research at level 60 so long as you have the previous tier researched. Generalist suits will just show up in the store when you have a high enough level, no research needed. Also I can not overstate how good Cap's level 9 ability is. I'm doing spec ops and getting Perfect Strategy on more than half of the boss fights without needing to heal. I upped the poo poo out of Cap's evasion and use the skill and everyone just whiffs and gets killed. For the somewhat rare occasion that a hit makes it through, as long as it doesn't have damage over time attached my Magnetic Field Generator takes care of it. That combined with Coordinated Defense as well... Insult to injury. Basically everyone needs to buy Cap and grind Epic Magneto (need Spider-Man for that encounter I believe, and have to deploy Storm as well) to get MFG.

I'm surprised how smooth this game feels for a Facebook game. It's surprisingly deep and polished.

Doing that, or using the Norn Stone (Epic Loki) or Doombringer (Epic Doom) to get one hit kills on everything is actually a strategy for getting a ton of points on the epic Hammerhead boss in the first special ops mission so you can make it worth the ISO you spend on it. Just spam the buff for 20 rounds or so while using the other characters to heal with items until you do ridiculous damage.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone, even the die hard apologists on the developer's forum, say this. I've had a ton of hard freezes, the game telling me to refresh and lose my progress, and various other things happen. A lot of people have issues with the server rollback being lovely and losing a bunch of stuff (including purchased heroes in some cases). Not trying to be a dick, just don't necessarily expect that feeling to last. I will say that I was very surprised and pleased with how well the game plays in terms of strategy options, the equipment, all that stuff. I would pay for a boxed copy of a game that used the same battle system but somehow eliminated the need to wait for energy and poo poo. Put this poo poo on DS or smart phones or some poo poo.

I play this game far too much. Some pointers: GIFTING: Energy or bust. There's only a couple of exceptions to this rule: Shield points if you're just starting out, and event stuff like this Unstable ISO that's necessary for the Mockingbird missions. Don't bother with anything else, enough items drop during battle that you'll rarely be wanting. If you decide you want to really give the game a go, you'll need either friends or money. Sad to say, but that's the way of life with these Facebook games. If you do go the friend route, be sure to visit them every day but only AFTER you've emptied your energy bar (and PVP bar if you care about that). Each friend you visit gives some combo of 3 shield points/1 energy/1 PVP/some silver. Have enough friends and you'll never want for Shield points. I'm giving Mockingbird a go even though a got a late start on her, as I was bouncing Elektra's head off the floor like a basketball to grind enough Command Points to get the Avengers uniforms. I've 4 starred the first mission, and I'm not so much worried about the clock as I am about getting enough of the ISO to run the missions. We'll see; the good news is that I haven't touched any of the gold I've earned, so I've got over a 100 bars to burn if necessary. Been running Cap/Thor for the most part, as Cap's level 9 skill aggros everyone on him, and once Thor has his level 6 x2, he can knock out anyone. I'm sacrificing one-hits due to Cap, so I need Thor to overkill. For Madame Masque, I two-bird and run Hulk with revenge strike and protect, which allows him to gently caress a hole in a bus once he hits someone. The game's not perfect, but it's good for a free game. I'm hoping it lasts beyond the Avengers home release period, that they've got a bunch of X-Men and other minor characters gives me some faith it'll stick around, but we'll see.

gently caress getting Liquid Fire as my quest reward for SpecOps. Lots of things burn. Almost nothing chills. Edit: As another tip, get the Offensive Accelerator for SpecOps mission 3. Who's the best member to throw into the Wrecker fight in Spec Ops? I had Hawkeye and nearly beat the Wrecker but his attacks just weren't strong enough. I wanted to not use the Hulk since the Wrecker is with two blasters.

I suit up my Agent as a Tactician and I've used a level 7 (now 8) War Machine to good effect unless a bad turn order fucks me, like Wrecker nailing my Tacticians with statuses before they get to attack.

Has anyone tried avoiding the Mockingbird fight in spec ops 1-3? What happens, does the game just refuse to give you more fights until you clear her? I can't imagine you could fight both against her and teamed up with her at the same time. I did figure out that the best way to utterly ruin her day is to bring Captain America and a scrapper. Cap's go-first power guarantees you'll turn her into an infiltrator for the scrapper to tee off on every round. edit: Hey, guess who's got two thumbs and just got the Enchanted Crowbar CapnAndy fucked around with this message at May 24, 2012 around 01:07 |

It is so stupid that Iron Man is the forced team up character against Thunderball. The game is basically saying "Shut up and buy an alt costume" because otherwise Iron Man just gets destroyed.

Mark my words: with Gnome Town and Avengers Alliance, coupled with the fact that Zynga hasn't had a hit besides Farmville and even then people are quitting, Playdom will soon be the new Zynga, especially in terms of "gently caress you, player, give us money."
|
| # ? May 24, 2012 17:39 |

Playdom is also owned by Disney (hence why they did the Avengers game, since Disney owns Marvel) so they can probably get consistently good production values. Having said that, Avengers Alliance is currently "down for maintenance".

/\/\/\/\Item use. Call for backup. You'll be whipping rear end in no time. I bought bruiser Cap for the same reason and do not regret it in the least. I'd rather take the crit damage from blasters then get rear end hosed everytime he attacks an infiltrator. Add some scrappers to the map and Cap is beastly with his level 9.
