I'm just annoyed that somehow, I ended up with a mage helper pawn determined to charge right into the crowd of heavily armed bandits every few seconds.

Hey, what's a good anti-ogre strategy? My character was a female sorcerer, but despite the guide saying they were weak to magic, I barely put a dent into them. I can kill them, but only one at a time and after about five minutes of frantic struggle/running. What am I doing wrong?

So the guide is a liar and ogres are just annoying walls of meat just itching to kick my teeth out. Great.

Oh well, at least they don't appear too often. Not yet anyway.

VVV I ended up doing the quarry backwards and learned about two of them teaming up the hard way. It was over very quickly. Thankfully, I did manage to complete the quarry eventually.

Hello there everyone! Ive decided to associate myself more with this community forum now. As I don't happen to have any console friends heres my question to all of you who have played this game and other rpgs.

I want this long rpg game which this game seems to be. Ive read goons saying that aesthetics of this game reminds Dark souls which I once again found fantastic game. I'm aware this game is not Dark souls itself at all other than in that aspect.
I am a fan of berserk and I have played TES:Skyrim however TES:Skyrim fell a bit short on me. I loved the game sure but after playing it 30 hours I just left it in the dust and I don't know why. Now to the question: As you progress in this game does the addicting gameplay feeling that keeps you playing stay throughout the game or does it diminish little by little?

I've only rented it for a week (a little too broke to buy right now), but I've found it pretty addicting, if only for the sheer number of quests to distract you. Of course it'd be so much better if they'd allow you some fast traveling instead of making you trek through monster-infested territory over and over.

I can see it getting old, though.

Uh-oh, now I'm worried because I noticed my pawn standing in place not moving after I killed the wyvern outside of Gran Soren. It seemed to fix itself when I zoned into the city though. I hope it's not progressive pawn dementia.

Does it persist if you exit and restart the game?

Is it stuck in one place or just not attacking?

Postgame has two beefed-up versions of them in a single room, flanked by a whole bunch of the top-tier saurians. Postgame doesn't play very nice at times.

Is it just trying to be hard or does it get to "Choke on deez nuts, Puny Player!!" masochism levels?

If easy mode adds some fast travel options that don't take 10K gold, I'm sold on actually buying this game.

I honestly couldn't tell if I hated the wolves or the annoying chatter more.

That sequel better make the pawns less inane. After adding a fast travel option, of course.

New stuff: ten or so new hairs, all of the unlockable colors for skin tone and hair and so on are available up front in the editor, maybe some new ones too? Some of those might have been added in later DLC for the original game, I have no idea. In the Equipment menu capes and jewelry have been split into separate categories, and you can now equip two pieces of jewelry. Also, and this is probably the best development, there's now a portcrystal ring right outside of Cassardis. :woop:

That sounds good, but I'm still hurting for some real fast travel option. If they ever make a sequel, that had better be the first thing they announce.

The game has some of the best combat I've ever seen in an RPG, but even that gets old when you have to constantly trek down the same paths fighting the same enemies over and over.

I basically played the whole game through as Mage/Sorc and switched to MA for like 4 levels before saying gently caress it and fighting Grigori. My MA was only vocation rank 6 and I just sixfold bolted his scaly rear end repeatedly until dead. I certainly enjoyed the entire fight, and it didn't take too long. Not 10 seconds, but not all night, either.

I like being a spell caster and all, but those obnoxious bandits made me reconsider the value of melee combat instead of plinking away with staff bolts while waiting for spells to recharge.

Yeah, I've had to dismiss pawns with the exact set of skills I'd want because they're a strider with medicant or a mage with guardian/acquisitor or the extremely common warrior or fighter with guardian/anything. A lot of medicant fighters lately too.

Teach your pawns to be good, random strangers! :argh:

Honestly it's totally understandable that someone who isn't looking at a forum or wiki wouldn't know that guardian is a horrible trap that ruins your pawn. But that doesn't make it any less frustrating when you're looking for pawns to hire.

Well, it's not like the game really explains anything in a useful way, so it's to be expected that people screw up on pawn inclinations.

Did you throw a strider with fire enchanted daggers at it? That usually works for me.

That depends. If sea water works in this game like it did before, it might be almost as bad as the cliffs and you can't trust teams of random people to be less stupid than pawns.

In any case, it looks loving awesome and it better come to the US or I will track down whoever's running Capcom at the moment and rip them in half with kung fu.

I wouldn't get too upset. Given how badly things have been going for Capcom recently, I doubt they can afford to snub such a large audience for a game.
