Also good at pointing out some of the absurdities in certain video games

If I count as a journalist then I'm loving terrified for the future of games journalism. If you really think a journalist or critic needs to have experience in making whatever they write about, I don't know what to say. I think a lot of game journalists and art critics in general haven't professionally made any of the things they write about. And if anything these seems a harsher qualification considering that gamemaking is a more mysterious process than something like making a film or writing a novel.
