I found someone who is so, so close to getting it, but just can't/won't.quote:1) Bruce Wayne is a man of action, at his very core he is a man who genuinely cares about Gotham and Batman or not will do anything he can to help. In TDKR Bruce Wayne stops donating to charities, and lets his fathers entire company go to hell, probably leading to layoffs and paycuts. quote:I would also like to add that Batman didn't need to beat Bane, and it wasn't that Batman failed that I disliked this movie. It is the way in which it happened. Had Batman used smart, tactical, useful gadgets against Bane, and Bane stopped him at every turn, I'd be singing a different song. Had Bruce done everything in his power to keep his company afloat, but got bankrupt anyway, THAT would also be acceptable. But, EVERY SINGLE FAILURE BRUCE/ BATMAN WENT THROUGH IN TDKR WAS A RESULT OF HIM BEING A PATHETIC DUMBASS.

So I kinda caused a derail over here: http://forums.somethingawful.com/sh...5#post412337271 Anywho, am I misunderstanding something to just say "Bane is a sick rear end in a top hat who wanted to torture a whole city and make Bruce watch" and that this is kinda the only halfway-decent execution of a James Bond-esque "I could kill you now but I won't because reasons" thing?
