![]() Planet Express delivery company roll call! Captain Turanga Leela (Katey Sagal) ![]() Leela's one standard lady, nine hundred ninety-nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine in a million. Except, Leela spent the majority of her life believing she was an alien from an unknown world. In reality, this was a ruse perpetuated by her parents Turanga Morris (David Herman) and Turanga Munda (Tress MacNeille), sewer mutants who left their daughter Leela at the Cookieville Minimum Security Orphanarium. At the time, it was illegal for mutants to dwell on the surface but since then Leela has learned of her origins and laws have been changed allowing her parents and Grandmother to spend time on the surface whenever they choose. Leela is currently enjoying the best time of her life (so far, in this reality) in a relationship with Philip Fry. Delivery boy, first class, Philip J. Fry (Billy West) ![]() He's got that brain thing! Fry, the show's protagonist, is a time traveller with a vital role in the history of Earth and the Universe at various points in time. Fry has no delta brain wave, as a result, his mind cannot be affected by the brain spawn (David Herman and Maurice LeMarche), nor can it be read by mind-readers. This genetic abnormality was caused by Fry going back in time and impregnating his Grandmother, ostensibly making himself his own Grandfather. This action resulted in Fry not having a detla brain wave, making him the sole being in the Universe capable of preventing several cataclysmic events. Knowing Fry's significance, although perhaps not every detail, the Nibblonians appointed Nibbler (Frank Welker) to push Fry into a cryogenic freezing chamber for almost exactly one thousand years at midnight on January 1st, 2000. Fry brought with him the risk of reintroducing the common cold virus into the 31st century environment. When this finally happened, he recalled a sample of the virus which had been ejected into space from his time that could be used to make a vaccination. Fry once travelled through time thanks to a discovery made by the huge brain. On this trip back to the turn of the year 2000, Fry was able to make the choice as to whether he would be frozen for 1000 years, he decided that his love for Leela was worth taking on the responsibility of saving the universe. Due to his rear end having the time travelling code tatooed to it, Fry was able to live out a 12 year long life in his original time at the year 2000 before his time copy body was destroyed. Fry was part of a time travelling test run of a machine that could only go forward. During this trip he travelled past a cyclical recreation of the universe twice, finally catching up with his current time in the year 3012. After years of vying for her affections, Fry is now romantically involved with Leela. Former Bender, Ship Cook, and current Assistent Manager of Sales, Bender Bending Rodriguez (John DiMaggio) ![]() Bender's a bender (outdated model 22). He can bend girders. That's all he was programmed to do. When he found out that the girders he had been bending were being used to build suicide booths, he couldn't go on living and sought to kill himself in a suicide booth. While waiting on-line he met Fry and they quickly became best friends, roommates, and coworkers. Bender has time traveled even more than Fry, and can essentially exist anywhere at any time including points beyond the singularity. In spite of his many abilities, he hates doing work and enjoys drinking alcohol which keeps his fuel circuits charged (although he can stop whenever he wants, and switch to mineral oil). He smokes cigars because they make him look cool. Long term intern Amy Wong (Lauren Tom) ![]() Company Physician, Dr. John A. Danzel Glovington posted:Bureaucrat grade 34, Hermes Conrad (Phil LaMarr) I thought he was some kind of outer space potato man!?! I still love this show, and a couple of the new episodes have been right up there with the best of the best of the original run. The brain-swapping episode in particular was sensational, and the descriptions of the upcoming episodes sound great. I just hope that the episodes are played in production order this time, rather than seemingly at random so we might end up with two "emotional" episodes in a row or 2-3 Bender-centric episodes in a row.

If you want to be technically correct (the best kind of correct), The Professor isn't Fry's only living relative since he's got a son and a clone.

I'm back baby! no, seriously, I don't think I had posted in the last thread since September. Just lurked and checked in every now and then to make sure it was a quote-machine (it was). But now with the new season looming, it's time to get hyped up and probably marathon all the episodes beforehand.
