Warning: Self shot video using an iphone

I went to go see one of my favorite bands, La Dispute, at Chain Reaction in Anaheim earlier this year. It was the best show I've ever been to in my life - the energy was awesome.

If you are into this type of music, I definitely recommend seeing their live set. They are amazing, and they are quickly gaining popularity.

I'm a huge fan of Anime Music Videos, and I found this Evangelion music video the other day while browsing:

Also, teasers have begun hitting the web for the movie Pacific Rim. I've been looking forward to this movie for what seems like FOREVER, and I can't freaking wait for the actual trailer to hit next month.

Edit: If you can't tell, I'm a huge fan of anything "mecha"

I was going to put the youtube here, but they didn't have the full session. If you are a fan of At the Drive-In or other post hardcore bands, I came upon La Dispute quite accidentally last year and they've definitely jumped to one of my favorite bands of the last four to five years.

I really can't get enough of these guys. I've seen them live a few times and highly recommend if they ever have a show in your area, check them out. They are all super nice and very down to earth too.

Every time I hear La Dispute I feel like they borrow heavily from early mewithoutYou. You should check them out.

Of course, now mewithoutYou sounds totally different. Now they sing weird fables and stuff and it owns.

Yeah I'm definitely a fan of old mewithoutyou, but there's very few of their newer stuff I dig. I listen to this post hardcore band from Japan named Envy, and I stumbled upon La Dispute when I had been scouring the interwebs for info on Envy (La Dispute had gone on tour with them here in the states some years back along with Touche Amore).

To contribute some other music: I loved Mars Volta's old work, but feel this mundane feeling as you go through their albums to their newest work. However, Omar Rodriguez Lopez group is a thing of pure beauty.

Two men eat a really hot pepper and then try to conduct an interview.

What's really odd is after watching the video, my Ex's cousin, who happens to be a stand up comic, did a a thing with Spicy News as well.

Definitely not as funny, thank god.

I love these videos, if only for the fact that once I'm done watching it I walk away from the computer terrified.

I don't get it. I know it was popular before... furry outrage? Pet owners objecting to "the full schnauzer" being abuse? The vaguely homophobic line hidden in there? You tell me.

I have no clue, it's drat near one of my favorite shorts of all time - I've showed it to all the dog lovers I know, and to see the looks on their faces as it plays out is priceless.

Speaking of dogs, and for content:

I use to think pugs were the ugliest things on the planet. Then I started dating a girl who had a baby pug - he's now 3 years old, and is the most hilarious pet I've ever had the pleasure of sharing space with (aside from my own Pomeranian, that is).

Edit: Also, I think this has been posted here before:

This pug REALLY has a thing against shampoo.

PRANCERCISE!

Edit: I told her I must have mistaken the Prancercisers at Venice Beach for drugged up lunatics along the boardwalk, seeing as how you could easily confuse the two.
