Might as well do a bit of shameless self promotion for my Chrome extension, YouTube Title Adder, then.

It adds the title of the video to any YouTube links you see, and shows you a preview of the video, along with its rating, if you hover over it.

I find it pretty useful for browsing this thread, at least. :shobon:

:siren: FRIEND-MADE VIDEO :siren:

A group of my friends have started a web series aimed at people interested in computer science (or, well, computer nerds in general). It's called topDatamat, and is inspired by Top Gear.

There are only two episodes at the moment, with 0x1 being a special episode made for the revue, and therefore has a bit more insider humor than usual.

In episode 0x1 is a bit I think anyone interested in programming can enjoy: A not-so-serious interview with Bjarne Stroustrup. If you don't know who he is, it's probably not that entertaining to you. :shobon:

(audio in Danish, but subtitled in English)

The first episode can be found on the topDatamat website.

I was going to suggest this but it's not on the chrome store and the website is no longer available. Mine still works perfectly though.

Yeah, it's kind of unfortunate, that.

Google took down the extension for violating their branding guidelines. (I.e., using the name "YouTube" in the title.)

I've renamed it to Video Title Adder, so now it should (hopefully) be fine again.

It's currently pending review. I don't know how long that'll take, but hopefully it'll be back in action soon.

i missed this reply sorry pal, your youtube thing is my favourite chrome addon thing idk what i'd do without it :tipshat:

Thanks! It should hopefully be back soon! Google aren't the quickest at approving that sort of thing, apparently, but it should be up again any day now, with some luck. :)

There we go. Google got around to approving it, so for anyone who were interested in the extension, now it's available again.
