Today only, you can try The Real Texas for free! By which I mean it's $4 on GOG and I'm giving away a copy. Please post if you take it (and don't take it if you're not going to play it soon - there's bound to be someone who actually would play it). Edit: vv Thanks for posting that you claimed it! I hope you like it. ![]() Double Edit: Also, for anyone that likes the game or is just interested in potentially playing it one day, don't forget to vote for the game on Steam Greenlight so it can see a Steam launch and get some of that Steam sale goodness. seorin fucked around with this message at Dec 14, 2012 around 23:13 |

This looks bizarrely fun and I'm definitely going to play it.

Just finished it.. Wow, that was quite the.. experience. Awesome puzzles/gameplay, but that was one trippy plot. I'm a bit stumped by the stuff I missed too - I followed the joker's notes, but it lead to a hidden passageway with a locked chest I never managed to open, and I never figured out what the deal with the aliens was.

I'm getting pretty foggy on a lot of the details since it's getting to be awhile since I played, but there's quite a bit of info available on the help section of the Real Texas forums: http://forums.kittylambda.com/viewforum.php?f=17

Enjoying this game quite a bit - the only problem is, HOW DO YOU USE TNT? Sheesh. Cannot figure this out anywhere and it seems nobody has asked this question, so I probably missed somewhere where it told you how. Digging the visuals to this game, reminds me of Thirty Flights of Loving. edit: oh, hahah, carry and use like a gun. Well that was easy enough. Also: you can shoot yourself with your gun.

Caenum posted:Also: you can shoot yourself with your gun. That's awesome. Part of what makes the game so charming is simply the sheer volume of stuff the author thought to include. It really adds to the feel of the game being open ended and allowing you to do whatever you want.

So the other day, Kitty Lambda had a little contest. Everybody was haiku fighting, and from the brawl I somehow emerged with GOG gift code for The Real Texas. Of course I already have TRT, so how about I just leave it right here.

Thanks for posting the code! I'm glad you enjoyed the contest, too. I had a bunch of fun watching it and making my own non-serious entries. Hopefully it helped spread the word about this awesome game some more.

Have there been any updates on the greenlight thing? I really wish this game would get more publicity.
