Is there any chance I could ever buy like a Nightvale window cling or bumper sticker? I'd be interested in buying something advertising the show or cheering on it's football team.

Edit: What song is used for the intro of each episode?

Double edit: gently caress Desert Bluffs.

if you start with drums, you have to end with dynamite.
We are in fact planning on t-shirts. These would be print-on-demand kind of things, so I imagine that stickers, posters, or mugs would be pretty easy to do as well.

We just have to find a reliable print on demand place that does quality work. If anyone has any leads on that, please let me know.

The Ballad of Fiedler and Mundt from the album Neukrk by Disparition (Earwicker). http://disparition.info/uncategorized/neukrk

I was thinking exactly the same thing about there needing to be shirts for the football team.

Non plaudite modo pecuniam jacite.

As an ESL teacher, this is great for many reasons. First, it's not NPR or TED. Second, it's a native speaker of English speaking VERY clearly. I don't see a Creative Commons license, so I guess I should ask permission.

6 episodes in is likely a little late to ask for transcripts, but it sounded like you were reading from a script so maybe it would be less trouble than I think? I can tell you, if you're interested in the education angle, a transcript would help.

Most of my students are 19-ish and anything more subtle than Transformers 2 is more or less lost on them, but I can see this being a part of my higher level listening and speaking classes in the future.

I bet Telly is from Desert Bluffs. Why else would he cut Carlos's perfect, magnificent hair?

That should definitely be fine. Email me at joseph dot r dot fink at gmail.com and tell me more about what you plan to do. We have written scripts of every episode, although the occasional word might be different since we don't bother to go back and fix minor mistakes from Cecil.

Episode 7 comes out in a few days. "History Week" in which you get a few thousand years worth of Night Vale history, including a glimpse of the future of Night Vale.

I love Cecil's hatred of the Apache Tracker. He's the only one that Cecil has poo poo-talked who hasn't either A) been a voice of reason or B) cut Carlos's perfect, beautiful hair.

Can't wait two more months to get to the next one about that one guy.

Yeah because expressing a dissenting opinion has to be a troll. For the record I listened to some of the first episode and it was just as painfully awful as the sample.

Doesn't that thing only
hold six rounds...?

My favorite moment in the series so far has to be when Cecil, just for a moment, dropped the radio voice and just started angrily talking conversationally, normally, probably because it was just completely unexpected and bizarre for someone that has never before dropped his slow, clear enunciation including while under siege from lovecraftian horrors.

I am so very excited for the upcoming episodes.

No, Steve's a spoilsport, the Tracker is an rear end in a top hat. And Steve would be the "voice of reason" I mentioned. I mean he was the only one to point out how goddamn stupid a drawbridge in the middle of a desert is.

Why don't you just move to Desert Bluffs if you hate Nightvale so much? The drawbridge will be a perfect addition to town.

Thanks. Next episode is the first one with a guest writer, and look forward to the just written ep. 13 (Dec 15) which is a very, very different format than previous Night Vales and has some exciting big picture story stuff in it.

Also a lot of weird, silly stuff like usual.

You've got my entire office at work enthralled with your humorous brand of horror. To the point where I got angry at another co-worker who went ahead and listened to one of the new episodes a couple days before our Sunday group listen. Perhaps he would be more comfortable moving to Desert Bluffs to be with people of that kind.

Anything special being done for Halloween?

As for Halloween, no there isn't anything special planned. The problem is that we write the episodes a few months beforehand, and so we kind of keep forgetting what time of year it will be when the episode comes out. We plan to get better about that.
