Awesome.

I like this shot a lot. Seriously, that car has seen better days but you caught it's lines well. It's a shell of it's former self.

Yeah after staring at I'm not too thrilled with it being there. It's the corner of a headstone. Do not fret, I have backup!

Thanks. The only thing I wish I was better at is capturing a bit of motion in the wheels - I haven't quite got the knack of panning along with the cars yet so as to not completely freeze the motion. Still really pleased with what I got, especially considering that photo was shot through a chain-link fence.

I'm interested in getting into car photography--what sort of lenses do some of you usually use for this? I know there is crossover with wildlife photography for capturing mid-race shots, but for stationary vehicles and photoshoots, what do you generally use? I was looking at maybe a 20mm lens or thereabouts?

I personally shoot cars almost exclusively with my 70-200 f/2.8 L IS. I occasionally use my 24-70 but very rarely.

Same. My 70 - 300mm f/3.5 - 5.6 Sigma has become my goto for car photos it seems.

Is there much done to the motor in yours?

It's actually a friend's car... It's a RWD drift beater, pretty much stock motorwise. It's an NA Impreza, we didn't get the cool ones over here. He'll be boosting it soon enough.
