I tried to get her to wake up but she is retired and gives no fucks. I also feel like she should try to preserve her modesty a little more. It's hard to watch TV with the pink bits winking atcha. The fez, sunglasses and cigar were purely for my amusement.

got those happy feet

My lab used to do this when his bed's cover got too dirty for his liking. Next time he saw my mom he'd run up to her with his "I have something important to say but I can't because I'm a dog" face:

and he'd start to walk away, stopping and looking over his shoulder to see if she was following. He'd lead her to his bed, then look at her, then look at the bed, then look at her, etc until she changed out the cover. If there was a new spot on the cover that hadn't come out in the wash he'd eye it suspiciously then pick at it with his teeth. I miss that dog, but he was a pain in the rear end.

Apparantly, waking up my dog is a hobby of mine - have some older pics

Burli (german wirehaired pointer) mostly didn't give a flying gently caress and went back to sleep right after.

They lose a lot of the cute when they piss in your shoe.

Which is also why you don't feel so bad about waking them up and promptly blinding them with a camera flash.

Weirdly, I was looking through an old hard drive today and found these couple of videos of my dog waking up before I found this thread. They were taken like 10 years ago (so excuse the awful quality and lack of sound) and I have no idea why I took them, but I think they get his personality across pretty well . Endlessly happy to see you, with the waggiest tail. Passed away last year at the age of 15 - very sorely missed

The wind blows for Manos del Sino! Thanks for the avatar mang!

He's a little bit bigger now, but this is Brasco. We think he's German Shepherd Rottweiler. Just woke up, and a little wonky because of it.

And here again is Brasco, simply because he could stop people in the street through his cuteness.

He got big, and now has a Doberman/Greyhound brother, both rescues, called Max. Oddly he bullies the much larger Brasco, who is the most intimidating dog I've met. He has a beautiful ridge that goes all the way down his back when he gets angry, and the purest bark. Easy to tell which is the favourite.

Here's Champ being woken up, not caring, then going all creepy-eyed on me:

Here's Kaira not caring, curling up, then nearly falling off the loveseat:

D'awww...thanks! Champ totally acts like he's "the most interesting dog in the world," talking and grunting and walking around with his sophisticated old dog swagger (aka pre-arthritis butt wiggle). And Kaira...well, she knows she's beautiful and acts like a entitled little princess because of it.

By the way, I told Champ that the internet thinks he's a good-looking boy, and his response was, "hrrrmmmm...garumph," followed by his signature swagger.

Oh, and I should probably post at least one more photo...

This is the kind of laziness that happens after a couple of hours playing in the backyard. And yes, they are still half-assedly fighting for a Nylabone:
