Between this game and Retro City Rampage, it seems like the 8-bit nostalgia crowd finally figured out how to make their games fun. Rather than just throwbacks with the same issues the old games had for the sake of authenticity. I blame Mega Man 9 entirely.

If you preorder from GetGamesGo.com, the code they'll send you when the game is released will be redeemable on Steam. The preorder bonus level will be a separate installer.

I played this at the Eurogamer Expo this afternoon. I think I was playing for around an hour and it was just incredible. An awesome, awesome game, preordered it just now and I honestly cannot wait. If you have ANY doubts about this game being superb - put them aside, because it delivers SO HARD.

I have the guy who did the awesome trailer music (Perturbator) added on facebook and he says he didn't do the music for the full game, only the end credits and one level, so I'm mildly disappointed. Good to hear that the rest of it's awesome though.

Got an email from GoG.com asking me to pre-order. It's also on Steam right now too. Says it'll be out October 23rd. I'd like something along the lines of FTL where ordering from the dev gets you a DRM-free copy, AND a Steam code. But the website doesn't seem to even mention pre-orders are now available.
