How does the Falcon stack up against the Adas? They seem to fill a similar niche.

Also the CSR doesn't deserve its place on the list, it's actually a pretty good gun for lasering infantry. Especially annoyingly slippery infantry like the Nemesis

Falcon is about 40% (cooldown rating) lighter, hits 50% harder and with a bigger explosion, and the shots travel hella fast. On the flip side, the Adas can fire for days, gets the bonus versus shields and barriers, and has the homing, for better and for worse. It's mostly a matter of personal preference and how important cooldowns are for your class. I prefer the Adas in general due to the huge magazine and take ultralight materials with the barrel, and it works out pretty well. You can reliably knock enemies out of cover and half cover with the Falcon by arcing the shots just over the cover, though, which is quite handy. If the class is more casty, Falcon works since you can shoot-cast-shoot-cast. Classes like Drell Adept where you've only really got one power with a medium recharge time and use grenades for the rest shine better with the Adas since it can keep firing during the entire cooldown.

Collector Sniper Rifle is indeed awesome, especially as a shield stripper for the Asari Huntress, but its low usage is probably due to most people's initial impression treating it as a full auto weapon on a weapons class and overheating a bunch, then benching it. Treated like the Mattock, feathering the trigger, you get a really reliable mook-killer and solid DPS on bosses between casts.

Does the spare thermal clip for the sniper rifle increase the capacity of the CSR, and do the Batarian bonuses do the same?

It's in the Mod's description. Spare ammo capacity. The Collector Sniper Rifle doesn't even have spare ammo.

I NEVER HAVE ENOUGH INFERNO AND AP AMMO.

Maybe because that's the best ammo, but do you veteran players have any tips on growing your ammo stock? Just buy stuff and hope you get what you want, or maybe fill your missiles and medi-kits (and the rest) to 255 and then go all out on veteran/spectre packs or something?

I think the Destroyer's Devastator mode increases ammo capacity for the CSR and all other cooldown weapons, though.

y0 don't play Platinum anymore and try Bronze again, won't have dat problem

I managed to NOT extract on two Silver games just today, the first had 2 players drop out after wave 3 and nobody came to replace them, the second had the leader swap from Silver to Bronze back to Silver again and then everyone left by wave 3-4. HAHA FUNNY JOEK. I wasted level III ammo both times

I think the ammo you get from "all things at 255, must replace" is always level I. If you really want that you may as well just load up on recruit packs. If you want more level III ammo, buy regular Spectre packs. Three slots that could be ammo for 60K versus two slots that could be ammo for 99K is pretty obvious if that's the only metric you're looking at.

Folks with huge stocks of consumables usually have maxed (or near maxed) manifests. If you still have a lot of stuff to unlock and upgrade, there's not a lot you can do about it.

Keep buying spectre packs, and once you start maxing out the cosmetic options on characters and weapons you'll never have to worry about ammo again. If you draw a card for something you've already completed, the store gives you ammo of equivalent rarity instead. You'll wind up with tons of level IV ammo. The main thing I actually run out are weapon amps and cyclonic modulators, which are hugely useful but drop much more rarely.

No, I definitely get level III ammo in the first slot if I buy a spectre pack with all consumables maxed.

I think it's a function of the type of pack you buy: recruit packs give level 1, veteran give level 2, spectre and up give level 3.

That would make more sense, but I could've sworn I've only ever gotten level Is out of that on freaking 99K packs. It's been a while, though.

Once you have enough weaponry and classes unlocked to stop chasing specific toys and you're playing gold/platinum regularly, I recommend the following to keep gear stocked and continue getting new things:

If you have 60000-98999 credits, buy a spectre pack (one rare)
If you have 99000-119999 credits, buy a premium spectre pack or one of the specialty 99k packs (two rares, less equipment)
If you have 120000-158999 credits, buy two spectre packs (two rares, more equipment)
If you have 159000-197999 credits, buy one spectre pack and one premium spectre pack (three rares)
If you have 198000 credits or more, buy two premium spectre packs (four rares)

I'll also sometimes buy three spectre packs if I have 180k+ because that means more equipment, but not so much anymore because I have a ton of stuff laying around.

I think you all get the idea by now. This lets you buy something every time you finish a gold/platinum round, and the regular spectre packs mean you're getting lots of extra consumables to fill out your stocks. There's no need to pull out a calculator, just be aware that the more PSPs you get, the fewer equips, amps, and ammo you'll end up with overall, especially if you're using them regularly. Following this basic outline, I have no less than 10 of almost every consumable at any given time (except assault rifle rail amps, which never show up ), and close to 255 of the main four at all times. Your mileage may vary.

I never buy them for any reason. I have no need for the main four consumables, and level I and II consumables are all roundly inferior to the piles of III and IV I've accumulated.

That list I made is pretty much entirely for people who have maxed or nearly maxed manifestsenough that they don't care about specific unlocks and want to start accumulating ammo powers and amps and so forth. JEPs are great when you're starting out, and are typically paired with veteran packs as you unlock uncommons and the like. Definitely buy them if you're still building your manifest or are consistently finding yourself short of missiles and medigel and such.

I could see some merit in bouncing back and forth between Vet and JEPs once all your commons are unlocked. I don't have to do it though, so I don't think much about it.

JEPs are for people who tilt at the giant gold pool early, and run down their medigel and missiles getting one Spectre Pack after two silver games (or one PSP after three silver games), which then sometimes just spits 5 ammo packs at you. Then they need their consumable count back up RIGHT NOW so they can go back to spectre packs and hey, there's a pack just for that.

But if you run Veteran packs regularly in the early stages (or even just when you get low) you end up building up a big stock and don't have to bother with JEPs ever. I've been playing since launch, have a maxed-except-UR manifest, and have bought exactly one JEP in all that time mostly just to see what it would do. (I spent the next couple games wasting all the level 1 & 2 consumable mods on bronze or silver games just to get them out of my inventory.)

E: Hell, I had a friend doing the gold tilting and whinging about how she only had 1 medigel, so I told her that her common weapon mods and uncommon weapons looked a little sparse (she didn't even have the shotgun damage barrel) and she should buy a bunch of Veteran packs. She bought a spate of about 20 Veteran packs before I told her she was probably in a good place on the weapon mods; it's a month later and she hasn't complained about medigel since. 100K can get you two rares and 5 consumables of 1 type, or five silvers and 3x5 consumables.

When building your rare weapon manifest (e.g. buying spectre packs and premium spectre packs) on gold games you'll probably use more than 5 consumables per game (hell, I often use that many ops packs in a game), meaning that you'll occasionally need to restock your basic consumables with jumbo equipment packs. I know I have to buy them somewhat regularly.
