Which is a better deal - one PSP for 99k or two SPs for 120k?

I'm not quite sure how the Destroyer fires the Missile Launcher (Cobra upgrade specifically). It seems like there is a delay from when you press the button until it actually fires - is that true? And does it launch up first, then target the enemy? I was playing some Gold and it just didn't seem to be very effective at hitting dudes (either because they died from something else first, or it just didn't target well, or it hit the ceiling, or something). The Multi-Frag Grenades were cool, though.

GulMadred posted:It isn't a click-button-to-fire ability; it's an on/off switch. Activate it, your max shield HP takes a hit, and then things under your crosshair periodically get nailed with mini-missiles. Turn it off, the missiles stop flowing, and your shield tanking capability returns to normal. Sounds pretty terrible. Maybe I'll promote this class so I can re-spec.

I love when I just promote a character, ask to join a Bronze match, and get placed into a game in progress playing Platinum. That's awesome.

This morning, I decided to spend some credits on a few PSPs. I got one character - I finally unlocked the Asari Adept. Yes, the original one available at launch. Now I only have one more launch character to get, the Salarian Infiltrator! I still have a ton of newer characters to get, from the Vorchas to the Male Quarians to four of the N7 characters. I really want the N7 Paladin and Demolisher. I also upgraded to a Piranha IV just in time for the nerf. I really want the Harrier and Typhoon. The RNG really doesn't like me. I haven't actually played him yet, so it might make more sense when I do, but I don't know what you mean when you say to teleport through walls. Is teleporting just the dodge, or is it the Slash, or is it something different altogether? vvv Cool, thanks! Crows Turn Off fucked around with this message at 19:30 on Aug 9, 2012 |

I unlocked the Paladin this morning. Seems cool, but I don't think I'm using him correctly. I don't remember the specific upgrade selections, but I went 6 Energy Drain, 4 Inferno, 6 Snap Freeze, 4 Paladin, 6 Shield Mastery. I was rocking a Piranha with Cryo Ammo. He doesn't do much damage but helped out the team pretty good. Any way to improve this guy? Different gun? Different power usage?

Something like this... http://narida.pytalhost.com/me3/classes/#35KDRIR@0@0AA@@@0@0@0@0 You can bump Incinerate up to 4 and drop down Paladin/Fury, but Incinerate just isn't that good of a power for most situations. It will set off your combo explosions and that's about it.

They updated the Operation stats about halfway through the weekend: Bronze - 66,611= 33% Silver - 48,281 = 27% Gold - 17,466 = 30% I assume we didn't make up for it and it was a failure.

I got an N7 Valiant IV from one of the Packs yesterday. I have no idea if that gun is good or not, I've never used it. As far as characters go, I still need Vorcha Soldier, Male Quarian Engineer, Male Quarian Infiltrator, N7 Demolisher, and N7 Shadow.

God drat, the Fury owns. Playing really offensively is the way to go. I was kicking so much rear end. Of course, the game timed out during Wave 11 so none of it mattered, but still.

Operation: Eagle You drank too much last night but you still need to destroy the Reaper threat. You've misplaced all of your weapons except for the N7 Eagle. Squad Objective: Get Full Extraction on Platinum on any map/enemy with all of the characters equipped with only the N7 Eagle. Allied Objective: Full Extraction 10,000,000 times on Platinum with all players using only the Eagle. If the operation is not successful, everyone will be rewarded with an Eagle upgrade or Piranha downgrade. I think the Geth Engineer is my favorite class. Overload rules, and I think it also has the best Turret. I completely spec out of Hunter Mode. Having full health and shields is so much better for me than the minor advantages of Hunter Mode. I used to use the traditional Geth Plasma Shotgun with him and it was fine. But I switched it over to the Rifle, applied a Disruptor ammo mod, and it was incredible. I duo'd a Gold game to Extraction with a Krogan Battlemaster. There were Bursts all over the place.

The Blue Caboose posted:I know that technically, a 6/6/6/4/4 Turian Sentinel build is better because warp is such a good power, I love going 6/0/6/6/6 and using him as a overload specialist weapons platform. Overload absolutely murders enemy shields, and then stuns non shielded targets. Specced for damage, neural shock, and shield damage and with tech armor, a single overload will drain shields completely from anything short of a boss on gold, plus plenty of tech bursting potential. I use my Turian Sentinel in a game where there is another tech caster, but if the party swings more to biotics, I'll whip out my AJ.

I think it'd be cool if they added a consumable that allowed you to call in support from a non-playable alien. For example, you could unlock "Elcor Support" and use it instead of the missile launcher. You'd use the consumable, and an Elcor would drop in and do some sort of powerful attack, then go away. It could at least give the non-humanoid aliens something to do in multiplayer. Dan Didio posted:If they speak with the accent, I'm down. The accent was awesome (and not Jamaican, as I recall, I'm pretty sure Ike Amadi is Nigerian) and watching racist idiots stumble over themselves to bemoan how the 'Jamaican accent doesn't make sense'! was hilarious.

ded posted:How do I make the N7 Fury work right? I've seen other players rip everything apart with them but I guess I don't know the trick to making it work. 1) It's a very high-paced class, so you'll run around all the time, with very little squatting. You will leave Annihilation Field on constantly, run into groups of dudes to prime them with the AF, Throw at all of them to detonate biotic explosions, rinse and repeat. 2) If guys are too far away or too powerful, you will Dark Channel them, then Throw for biotic explosions. Dark Channel transfers to a new dude when the original dude dies, so you can use Throw on the new dude and explode them as well. 3) A good SMG or pistol that doesn't affect your weight too much is your best bet, because you should Always Be Casting (ABC). It's kind of your choice. The Fury is very mobile and quick. You can make her quicker with the proper Annihilation Field evolution as well. Also, this is important: she can teleport through walls using the backwards and sideways dodges. It can help you get out of tough situations as quickly as it can help you get in them. You can literally turn on AF, sideways dodge to teleport into a room, blow up dudes with Throw, then teleport out. Be careful, though, as she doesn't have a lot of shields or health. You can use gear to help with that. Here's my build: Annihilation Field: 4 -Radius, 5 - Speed, 6 - Drain Dark Channel: 4 - Duration, 5 - Recharge Speed, 6 - Pierce Throw: 4 - Radius, 5 - Detonate N7 Fury: 4 - Damage & Capacity, 5 - Power Damage Fitness: 4 - Durability ForbiddenWonder posted:Just picked up ME3, about 9 hrs into the story.
