Veteran Packs are definitely more reliable for getting Uncommon weapon upgrades, I know because thats how I finished maxing out all my Uncommon weapons. It's a bit of a toss up between getting Uncommon weapon upgrades and level III consumables since those are Uncommon now too, but they're relatively cheap, so I don't think its a big deal.

The additional grenade capacity gear is helpful but without it you still get a reasonable five grenades. As long as you can stay close to your supply pylon you can throw two grenades every twelve seconds and get topped off with your supply pylon. More if you're within reach of resupply crates. The DoT evolutions lets you trip off Tech Bursts when you throw an Arc and Homing Grenade in succession and Fire Explosions in the reverse order if the Arc Grenade kills something.

Throw in any heavy weapon you want since you don't give a drat about cooldown times. I'm running with a Harrier and a Piranha which works together quite well although both need armor-piercing or warp ammo on Gold and higher to take down bosses that much more quickly. Even with the armor damage evolution on Homing grenades, unless your squadmates are focus firing on boss units, the Harrier only chips away at the armor and the Piranha doesn't do nearly enough damage in one magazine to kill bosses.

I usually run my Demolisher with the Warfighter Package, and it works out pretty well since I get better Assault Rifle damage and more grenades. My second gear choice would probably be Stronghold package since I only run with 6 points in Fitness total, but to each their own. Playing as a Demolisher sucks when you play with other grenade using classes though.

Some pretty good pubbies I just ran with (N7 ranks around 5,500 and 3,500, but they WERE pretty good at killing things) informed me that the backwards walking trick with Pizza Delivery is not faster anymore. Boo, I always found it kind of funny to do those deliveries like that. It's not as if there wasn't a tradeoff either, seeing as you can't see what you were backing your rear end into, but it was fun while it lasted.

Damnit, this feels like another one of those Operation Weekends that they make really difficult on purpose so we can't complete it, but there isn't even an interesting Allied pack, so who cares? Everyone's just gonna do the Squad goal for their N7 promo gun and call it a day. And does that mean that for each group that finishes wave 10, it counts toward the total 4 times for each person in the group, or is it just one?

Ugh, it is as I feared, and maxing out every weapon(except Ultra Rares), every Weapon Mod, and every Character in MP has kind of screwed me over. After blowing 2mil credits on PSPs last night, I estimate that every Gold slot has slightly higher odds of being a Gold Consumable rather than the only other Gold cards I don't have, Gear. I need 18 more Gold Gear cards to max out the entire category, and it'll probably take about 20-30 PSPs to pull off, if I'm lucky. And out of the 20 PSPs I got last night, only 3 Ultra Rares came out too, so it looks like the odds of pulling those haven't improved either, but at least I got a Typhoon I, along with a Javelin V and a Harrier V.

I don't know if its because I specced Missile Launcher on the Destroyer this time around, but even at rank 4, I'm finding that the Missile Launcher is at least hitting enemies. I even saw it go around cover to hit someone, but I'll have to play with it more to be certain.

Just found a new kind of FBW/G/G method for N7 characters that actually worked pretty well. Two Shadows with Electric Slash, and one Demolisher with grenades specced to take out shields and armor. The 4th person is optional, but I would go with either a SalEng, an Adept, or even another Shadow with Electric Slash. With the range upgrade on Electric Slash, it goes REALLY far, and since you're fighting Geth, the Electric Slash should stun them long enough to either die or get shot by the Demolisher. With Arch Grenades, you can take down Prime's shields really fast with the other guys spamming Electric Slash, and Homing Missile specced for armor damage pretty much melts them too. Plus with at least 2 Shadows, 4-point Objectives shouldn't be too hard.

I'm curious about how doable gold is these days with a bunch of level 20s?

Gold has gotten easier now, especially with the new classes and Gear slot. If your team can spam biotic combos then you've already improved your odds at Gold greatly. In general, Gold farming is still FBW/G/G, but if you want an intense farming experience, do Glacier/Cerberus/Platinum, and even though you're hiding in one room, it gets crazy intense.

I actually like using a Phaeston with my Destroyer now instead of the Harrier. With Piercing and either Extended Barrel or Extended Thermal Clip Capacity, it works decent enough with all the extra weapon damage from the passive and Devastator mode. Plus I don't have to run for an ammo box every 15 seconds.

You don't necessarily NEED London for the Allied goal, but you CAN do it for both your Squad AND Allied Goal, which kind of makes it two birds with one stone I suppose.

Yeah, we had a few good games, SirViver. When I saw your gamertag, I knew it looked familiar from the thread, sorry I never got around to adding you, most of the time I post in this thread at work and I forget to do stuff when I get home and play. But yeah, we did pretty that first game, but then the servers took a poo poo on us while we were on wave 7 with our high level consumables on. That's exactly the kind of thing I'm afraid of when I use consumables, wasting my stuff like that just infuriates me to no end.

EDIT: You know the sad thing about failing this event? That there's basically NO reason to care if we succeed or not. The Allied Victory pack isn't going to have any promo weapon, right? Then whats the point in doing anything besides the Squad Goal?

Oh hey are we posting our own multiplayer manifests in this thread and getting advice based on them now? I totally wanna get in on that. Here's mine.

I see you've got Thermal Clips maxed out, and Ops Packs are almost there. Continue packing away Ops Packs and not spending Thermal, and when you do you'll guarantee you'll get either Medigel or Missiles in your packs, and if you continue playing games where you get a Net Gain on consumables used, you'll have a pretty high number of gel and rockets in no time. I see that you still need to max out a few Uncommon guns, so Veteran Packs aren't such a bad idea for you since a Veteran Pack will net you two 3x Consumable cards, along with a good chance for an Uncommon weapon, for just 20k.

Or, once you max out Ops packs, it might be worth it to you to just buy a bunch of JEPs since your consumable stock is a bit sparse. If you do it after you max out Ops and Thermal Clips, you'll get like 12 rockets/gels, along with other decent consumables.

A loving Javelin VI and still not a single loving Harrier, are you loving kidding me you piece of poo poo RNG?

Like ACanofPepsi said, just keep grinding. Once you max out segments of the RNG, it gets pretty easy to get the other stuff quickly(except Ultra Rares, obviously), especially if you know what you're doing and can consistently clear wave 6 gold.

From what I've seen in other people's Manifests that asked for help, my overall impression is that you guys burn through rockets, gel, and maybe the other consumables, and while that's not necessarily a bad thing, your low supply puts you in a constant position of needing to get JEPs, which takes away credits from buying the packs you actually want/need to start gaming the RNG system. If you guys farm Gold or Platinum for a few days (or just play normally)and use few or no consumables in each run then it shouldn't take too long to get a nice pool of gel and rockets going. I think I may have maxed out my consumables in a "golden" period when it wasn't uncommon to join a random missile glitching lobby doing a W/G/G run, and while I didn't do it myself, I usually stuck around for the easy credits.

Yeah, I remember seeing the only 30% completion across the board on Sunday too, but maybe that was really the progress as of Friday Night or something? Now that I think about it, I wouldn't expect them to keep an up to the minute accurate figure on that.

Did we...did we completely write off this Op, only to have the ME3 Community prove us wrong? God, I kind of feel like an an rear end in a top hat, now.

Or it could be some kind of mistake, as per usual with Bioware.

EDIT: Or maybe it counted each PLAYER that finished a wave 10, instead of only counting 1 wave 10 completion between a party of players.

I've just made the jump from bronze to silver, and I was looking for help with my Turian Sentinel. Yes, I saw the advice a few pages back, and it's very helpful, but I was wondering: is maxing out warp really worth it? It seems to miss just as often as it hits.

My current build is 6/4/6/4/6 with the piranha:

Tech armor: durability - power - durability

Warp: damage

Overload: chain - recharge - shield

Veterain: capacity

Fitness: durability - shield - fitness

I'm just not that impressed with warp. It's good for setting up/setting off team mate's biotic combos, but the 5th and 6th level just don't seem worth 11 character points to me. Or am I missing something?

Thanks for the help!

If you're gonna max out Tech Armor, as well as go for durability with it, then you might as well take some points away from Fitness too, probably only take Fitness to 4, maybe 3. I assume you leave Tech Armor on all the time, so that means you're using the Damage Reduction all the time, and you don't need the extra points in fitness that badly, in theory.

Warp is good in that it can prime AND detonate biotic explosions, but since it's still a traveling power, it tends to miss, but if the enemy dodges the Warp for a roll, then you can anticipate where he'll get back up. I would personally put more points into Warp and spec it for increased power or weapon damage. Even if you don't Biotic Combo a target, you'll get a small buff for either weapons or powers, which really helps. That's my thinking of how to use Warp anyway; The power itself isn't supposed to be that effective, but in combination with a Biotic Combo or to setup bosses for a weapon/power pounding makes it somewhat invaluable.

EDIT: VVV I forgot that Warp weapons armor too, and it's my understanding that Armored enemies can't roll or dodge out of the way, so there's that.

I was in a lobby where a group was doing it on Glacier, and they actually had a pretty good system for it.

Two missile glitchers, one in the central hallway next do the landing pad doorway, and the other somewhere in the upper lab area, and me and a non-glitcher in the very bottom room with the ramp that goes upstairs and the console. We were in that spot mainly to prevent the enemy from spawning there, and so the two glitchers basically have line of sight on every other possible spawnpoint, and they just murdered it. We got sub-10 minute times for the few times we did it before I had to leave, the time was usually around 8:15, though we all just die once Wave 10 is done. The Tactical Cloak mechanic is weird in that it still takes a second or two for the bonus to go away after the first shot.

It has the advantage of avoiding the shield-gate, reloads fairly quickly, and actually does decent damage when you combine it with other bonuses. It's one of my favorite weapons to take our mid level guys and mooks with. Slap armor piercing on it, and it'll do a fair job against shielded enemies too.

But yeah, nothing worthwhile on the line, so no one really cares.

EDIT: I wonder if they'll ever do an event where the Allied goal is just straight up credits. If an Allied Goal was 1mil credits each person, then I'd actually make a decent effort. Plus if you put that 1mil credits toward PSPs, then probably more than half of them would wind up as Gold Consumables anyway, so it wouldn't really fuckup the item pool/credit system much anyway.

So, I was talking with a random guy and he made an interesting claim. We were doing a geth/white/gold farm and on the third round the objective was target elimination. He had an N7 rank of 5000something and was pretty skillful, and we had a Salarian Engineer, a Demolisher, QFI, and something else and were pretty much untouchable, yet he took out a rocket and shot at the Prime. I asked him what was up with it and he goes on to say that if you can hit the spawn group and kill a smaller infantry enemy that it can trigger that weaker enemy to be the next target. Low and behold, the next target was a pyro. It then hit me, I've farmed plenty of rounds where round 3 is all primes, but then in the same game, round 10 has one prime followed by pyros or rocket troopers and it always perplexed me when it happened. So lately, I've been trying this out and it seems to only work half the time. Does anyone know if it's just a fluke or is there a definite trick to making the targets change to low rank enemies?

I also learned from a random dude recently about the Banshee stair trick where you can't get grabbed so long as you are on a different level from her, so I'm inclined to listen to pubbies.

Both of those things are true, and the Banshee-stairs thing has been mentioned in this thread before. The Target elimination thing has something to do with how it picks the next target for the objective, but I think someone else besides the target has to die in order for that unit type to become the next target, and it can't be one that is nearby any player.
