Thats a supcom thing tho.

Supcom's ferry system was great. Build some air transports, select one and set a Ferrypoint start and waypoints. Select all the other air transports, and just rightclick on that ferry point. Now select your bazillion ground units, and send them to that same point while shift queueing an attack move towards the objective. Observe all your air transports start to pick up units, follow the ferry waypoints, drop off units, and the units go to their objective.

Now set your factories to that ferry point and automate the whole thing.
