After a lot of floundering from that ages of 18-24, I have a 2.9 GPA, a BA in English from Washington State U., and a resume with 8-10 fairly unimpressive jobs.

However, I - with all my heart - want to make a career for myself in Human Resources. Given that I'm willing to do anything to give myself an edge in starting on the right pathway, what might be a good place to start?

I've thought of a few basic pathways:

Getting incredible GRE and/or GMAT scores, getting into grad school, and getting an MBA with an emphasis on HR.

Getting an HRCI certificate at a local community college and trying to use that as leverage towards getting an internship/grunt job in HR.

Getting a Business Transfer degree at a local community college and/or a Human Resource Assistant certificate.

Going to local SHRM meetings and making myself visible as a professional individual looking for an internship/low-end HR job.

I'm willing to do any and all of the above, but I'm just curious which would be the most effective/least wasteful of my time and money.

I was getting sick of seeing that.
