Tish and piffle, I cannot conceive how that car with the performance of a car twice its price hasn't even got a teak glovebox or swan skin seatbelts. Inferior rubbish from the colonies, m

So I know nothing about calibration at all, and there aren't any threads on this TV on AVS forums. The t.v. is new and is a lower end plasma. Should it be calibrated? If so, how? Are there downloadable resources that one can burn to a disc and then play it through?

Couldn't find anything in here. Sorry for being so ignorant. Thanks in advance.

I don't know anything about AV or calibration but my understanding is TV's ship with higher brightness settings enabled to be shown off in a showroom where "Brighter == Better".

So you usually want to turn brightness and contrast down because it will make your TV last longer and look better.

The biggest tip I hear all the time is to pause a film and look at skin tones because they give a good indication if your TV needs calibration. (Either too bright, dark/orange or washed out)

For me but LEFTHANDED

You'd probably have better luck in the A/V Arena. Make sure to read the rules thread and check if there is a Quick Questions thread or something before posting!
