Here's some thoughts after firing this up again (I bought this a year or more ago based on the promises):

* Where is the minimap. You can get a zepplin flyby but that does zero good without a minimap.
* where are the lovecraftian horrors? Cultists/fishman don't count - does this exist at all yet?
* Holy crap the game is slow to start. Where is the fast forward? I've wached colonists painstakingly take a piece of rock from one place in the stockpile to another place in the stockpile for upwards of 10 minutes. What is the point of this.
* Now you have to rent naturalists and specialists with the empire points - these same points are award for no good reason. Your empire has grown! What, do you mean how I have 4 buildings in progress with a total of 3 beds?
* No idea about the military. I guess I can add more slaves/indentured servants to the militray squad - in the meantime they get killed trying to hunt things.
* Overall the game is slow and dull. Bandits and fishmen are slaughtered (if you have muskets) and then you deal with your colonists not picking up the meat.
* In general workshops are inefficient although this is improved since the last time I tried it a few months ago

But mainly: where is cthulu? Or really any threat whatsoever? Do they exist in game? If so, how many hours (and it will be hours considering you have to watch your colonists slowly take brick by brick to a stockpile, then to a building, then wander off until a different colonists building it).

* the autosave takes minutes to save. why is this? Shouldn't it be a little faster? It's very slow and locks the whole GUI while it happens.

Basically this game feels a lot like towns or gnomoria where you are constantly grinding tedious things like collecting rocks and wood to make simple buildings - does this ever change? I'm seriously asking, maybe I haven't put enough time into it, although the time I have put into it has been very dull. Is there something cool at when you reach certain milestones? Please say yes.

I bought this at least 3 years ago and I'm still wondering if they added a game/eldritch horrors, and a minimap? If anyone knows please inform me, I think I last tried it 6 months ago (when the regular drops from Imperial HQ became a thing) and it was still pretty basic
