I think it's fitting that the two worst Deadwood characters (Utter/Unser & Jane/lawyer) are on this show. I also want Louie to be the CIA's man inside the prison that protects the Sons.

Sutter basically said in an interview that SOA is just a fun, easy soap-opera for men. I'm too lazy to find the quote, but it takes a lot of wind out of critics' sails because he is admitting it is not meant to be a masterpiece, just an hour of violent, dramatic television. Also, if you go back and rewatch Season 1/2, this show was never 'great', the plot was just a bit more believable. Hell, Gemma's rape scene is set to some lovely rock ballad.
