Just secured a preorder for the regular model. I had no idea the Premiums would move so fast! I won't get my hands on it till Christmas, so let's hope ZombiU comes out by then.
It's a launch title, so no worries there.

People who are waiting for Pikmin 3 should check out The Wonderful 101 when it comes out, since it at least will be out sometime this year (and looks like more Platinum awesomeness).

the way the camera on screen zooms in on your character prevented you from easily keeping track of your surroundings.
I feel like this is done on purpose to add to the Dark Souls-esque difficulty, so I'll be fine with that.

It's funny that Impulse sells Steam codes, but you have to download said codes through the Impulse application :allears:

The hell with Snake, just give us Revengeance.
Please this, that'd be awesome for the Wii U.

COD: Black Ops is warporn, whereas Black Ops: The Line is all about seeing the actual impact those video game choices make.
For clarification's sake, you mean Spec Ops: The Line.

The thin anti-war veneer on MW1 was gone by MW2, which was a "proper" IW game, although not necessarily one the company was happy to make (Activision made a deal with West & Zampella that after MW2 they would be allowed to make a non-CoD game in exchange for doing MW2).

MW1 is basically the only game that has that, and even then it was basically just the quotes after you die and the AC-130 section (which tended to be received more as "Cool! This is just like those grainy tapes you see from time to time!" than causing anyone to actually reflect on the video-game-like nature of modern war) that were still overpowered by the "MILITARY gently caress YEAH" that was the rest of the game.
There's also the whole nuke thing, too.

Also Zombi U is a completely different kind of game than CoD Zombies.

That's a Wii game that has simply been HDified right?
That is correct, though it also adds full online and local multiplayer.

Yeah, my mom was under the impression that the GamePad was a new portable console until I told her it was just the controller for the Wii's successor. It's not perfectly clear for non-gamers/people who don't watch the conferences.

If they are willing to buy a $299-$349 controller for their Wii then all three console manufactures are not doing enough to rip off the gaming community. Nintendo especially. You mean they could have done pre-orders on the Wii Motion Plus, priced it at 300 bucks and it would have sold? Stupid Nintendo.
That wouldn't work because there's no screen to watch TV/play games on the Wii Motion Plus, it just looks like a longer Wiimote :colbert:

The bad part about the blog was when an update would be underwhelming. Is it gonna be a new character? No, just an item :negative:

I meant it in the fact that it was a Ubisoft title supposedly developed for "mature" gamers and it was supposed to showcase the new tech.
I wouldn't worry too much. Unlike Red Steel, which was trashed before release and had the most positive opinion being "maybe they'll fix it up before it comes out", Zombi U has been enjoyed by pretty much everyone who's played it so far.

I just enjoy the fact that it's a zombie game where a bite actually kills you, whereas in most zombie games they could be replaced by robots for all the zombie aspect there is. And killing your former zombie self is neat too.

Yeah, it's not exactly to fair to compare when the release dates differ by over 11 months :v: Though you'd think they might have taken that into account with the launch price for the Wii U version.
