32x related, this trio power supply went back in stock last night but apparently sold out already.

I was able to nab one so when i do get around to assembling the beast that is Gen+CD+32x I'll feel slightly less disgusted looking at the wires.

I have 3 RGB switchboxes like that, but they have fewer overall outputs. Trying to complete a US Sega Master System collection (about 20 games short) if anyone interested in some trades or something. These pictures are poo poo, I could take more/better.

I don't have an RGB monitor nor have I found one locally, so I'm currently using S-Video on a CRT I found on the curb last summer. Switchbox is this awesome looking sony thing that has modules, some RGB, some Svideo. (note photos are before it was cleaned up)

I dont have anything tagged as trade there, but probably anything non SMS/Genesis/tg16. I also have many spare genesis consoles, one of which is a later model Genesis2 with the "good" video encoder that's usually in the model 3.

Edit: tg16 stuff close to my heart.

So I guess I'm an rear end in a top hat as I bought a chinese knockoff of the Mega Everdrive because I guess I'm cheap. Tested it out on an Svideo modded Genesis 2 for Genesi and Sega Master System games, works great. I don't intend to upgrade its firmware, allegedly one can brick it that way.

Gave me a chance to start re-playing through the retranslation of Phantasy Star which is pretty neato. I am being a bit lazy and following a walkthrough for some things, there doesn't seem to be an official changelog of what was renamed to what, so that makes some things slightly confusing.

Pics look a bit crappier due to moire pattern from CRT.

Next up after beating this would be looking for any type of Metroidvania (I hate this term) for Genesis, more on the Metroid side though (so not Castlevania Bloodlines I guess)- does anything like this exist?

Indeed, it has to write a ROM to a flash area which takes 5-30 seconds depending on size. This only happens if you want to switch games. If you turn your system on and play the same game, you just press start and it boots it. Its practically an anti ADD feature!

Went with some friends earlier today as well. The show was basically a ton of playable consoles/computers spread throughout a maze of hotel rooms varying from ballrooms to hotel rooms with beds removed. A large tent with lots of vendors selling things, and several rooms with pinball and arcade games set to free play.

I only took a few pictures, so here they are.

One of the rooms with various playable computers and consoles

Magnavox Odyssey 100 with a TV that matched perfectly

I was quite happy to spend some time playing one of my favorite arcade games, Atari Football:

I was most blown away by was something I had never heard of - Sharp x68000 XVI. Some home PC from Japan that could play what appeared to be arcade perfect ports in 1991. The picture of the PC itsself didn't turn out, so here's its info sheet.

I had many video game systems in some storage bins, before taking any of them out I decided to make a matrix to find a common theme on what to target video output for

Note that there's almost certainly some inaccuracies here, and it only lists systems I have or would consider getting.

Also before doing anything, I tried to see if I could get a decent sized (at least 20") RGB CRT at a reasonable price. I couldn't. I ended up targeting svideo, finding a 27" CRT TV by the side of the street, it works just fine.

Thanks. Emulation isn't mandatory, just ran across some internet stuff saying it could do NES/SNES/Genesis which may be a nice perk vs buying something like the GPD Q88+.

Anyway, from what I read the GBA SP and NDS Lite both can play GBA games. The ROM cart for NDS is really cheap for some reason (half of the cart for the GBA SP. Is there anything in particular that's better on one or the other if I were to just keep one and play GBA games primarily? Briefly touching the DSLite, its buttons are tiny and I'm leaning towards keeping the GBA SP and shedding the DSLite.
