Canadian here - I can offer the classics (Smarties, Areo, Coffee Crisp, etc). Since I'm on the west coast, I'd really love to pick our some awesome local Vancouver treats for you! For instance:

If I'm not too far away from you, I can also send some homemade yumminess

I'm looking for some amazingly weird Japanese gummy candy making kits - you know the ones (like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZdtunydWdQ). Please choose the most ridiculous one you can find, the more intricate, the better. This is for my goony-goon-goon husband, who thinks that the whole gummy making process is pure mind-blowing sorcery.

Man those things are disgusting but I'm actually going shopping today so I will have a look and see if I can't find some. They seem to be pretty rare, at least in mainstream supermarkets.

That or I don't hit up the candy section enough to know the difference.

You know, I thought that might be the case - both the disgusting part and the hard to find part. Vancouver is pretty plastered with assorted Asian groceries, but I haven't seen anything like those candy kits anywhere over here.

Let me know if you A)Find some bizarre ones and B)What you'd like in return. I can also just run over to Granville Market and send you a big ol' box of Pacific Northwest.

Even Death Metal Monsters Love Cookies

WANTS:

I would like some Apfelschorle (apple soda) from Germany. You can get apple soda here in the Mexican aisle at Wal-Mart, but it is not the same brand of magical as the German kind.

Any brand is ok, but if you're not familiar with it, it's something like:

Also, if there's a place in Frankfurt that bottles that incredible Apple Wine, I would love that too and would trade a super thoughtful and weird gift/care package. (I don't know how shipping booze internationally works or if it's a possibility- legally or financially.)

Also, Reinitas. I'm not sure of where they are sold other than Venezuela.

WILL TRADE:
In return, I can offer Orlando, Florida goodies. To be honest, I don't think we have regional foods, except cookies shaped like Mickey Mouse. But, I do have access to all of the normal American food stuff, and all candy with PEANUT BUTTER (for you Europeans). I could peruse the local Farmer's Market to find something I could ship overseas. Since it's winter, maybe a fancy caramel apple or something. It would be a surprise (only during winter months, once it heats back up, it will be impossible to ship anything remotely melt-y.)

I can also offer Tijuana Flats Hot Sauces. There are a ton to choose from, so ya'll can pick: https://www.tijuanaflatshotfoods.com/hotfoods/hot-sauce

Can someone find out for me what the normal price for Heinz Spaghetti Hoops is in a supermarket?

I live in Belgium, a country devoid of these (or any comparable product, really), and I think I'm paying out of my rear end at British Corner Shop. When there's a buy one, get one free offer, I can get the price below 1€ per can if I order more than 60 or something. Which feels a bit nuts to do. Not to mention that I'm not inclined to check their website regularly to see if they're on special offer.

TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS SURSTRÖMNING
Especially you Americans, go to the grocery store and get one of every kind of unflavoured/unseasoned canned fish you can get, go home, and try them all . If you do not like one (or all) of them then YOU WILL HATE Surströmning, or at least this seems to be the case. You know that smell of stinky rotten dead fish that you smell when you're walking on the beautiful beach with your sexy girlfriend/boyfriend? You know that face he/she/you made when you smelled it and started looking for the source/started heading in the opposite direction? Now imagine that first exploding in your face then being crammed in your mouth and you have an idea of what it's like.

That being said, it's DELICIOUS.

I suspect that getting the cans will be cheapest then I can mix and match them while cramming them into the box, though 20oz and litre/2-litre/3-litre bottles would be possible (and rather pricey with shipping factored in). Yeah, hello? I lost my frog.

Everyone who wants surströmming or Julmust, I have checked shipping prices.

Shipping will be in these pre-paid envelopes. S fits one can and costs 50SEK (=$7.42 USD). M fits two (maybe three) cans and costs 85 SEK (=$12.60 USD).

Surströmming costs 40SEK ($5.94 USD) for basic fillet, more for the fancier stuff. But if you're buying it as a novelty or just want to try it, the basic stuff is alright.

Julmust is maybe $2 or so for a can. It's seasonal, so it will go on sale in a week or two.

I will trade stuff for the approximate same value. Just make me an intersting offer in PM.

Don't have PMs? Spring for Plat and support the Kyanka Kids Kollege Fund. You're going to waste a bunch of money on sending and receiving weird food from Sweden anyway.

Also, I really recommend the Messmör. Really delicious on sandwiches.

So the Aegis Reflector is some sort of rape device?

The people who wants to eat surströmming should at least eat it the right way in a wrap. I have seen tourists try it and they just eat straight form the can and of course it's a bad first experience.
You take a piece of tunnbröd (I'm sure there is something similar in the States), put butter on it, rinse and filet the strömming and cut it into pieces and spread it out over the bread with red onion and chopped almond potatoes. Add some sour cream or creme fraiche then just wrap it up and you have a surströmmingsklämma (surströmming wrap).

To avoid the horrible smell, open the can under water. It helps a lot.

A wheat tortilla is close enough to tunnbröd. You probably can't get mandelpotatis in the US, but that could be substituted with fingerling potatoes or any kind of potato really.

Hell, if you like I'll happily send you a photographic print of London from my favorite stall in Covent Garden!

In return, you can flat-out pay me, if you like, or you can send me stuff. There's two groups of food I'd like:

1) typical/regional/Christmassy treats from wherever you are -- sweet or salty, but not, say, hakarl or natto or sturstomming; or
