Holy crap, is this over?

I don't know what someone might want from Upstate New York, but I have dream items over here:

1.) poo poo tons of Pulparindos (Mexico)
2.) Blackcurrant flavoured candies, drinks, &c. (Great Britain)
3.) Crazy seaweed stuff and similar weirdnesses (Japan)
4.) Stroopwafels and all their related syrupy brethren. (Netherlands)

Hey not sure if you still are looking but I found a decent amount of this stuff at my local international market.. Found some pulparindos but look like right now they only had the hot flavor. the stroopwafels, which are like small disc waffles? Not sure about the syrup and prolly blackcurrant flavored candy...

here is some of the stuff I saw if anyone is interested in me picking up stuff for them.

Octopus flavored chips, basil seed drink with honey, Australian style licorice, jelly belly soda, moxie,

I need Altoids. I could only find peppermint here, but now not even those. If someone could send spearmint and cinnamon Altoids (Or any other except wintergreen), I'll send something from Chile.
We have many things made with Dulce de Leche (or manjar as we call it), other local candy, Mantecol (Argentinian peanut butter candy), or if you want something spicy, merken (smoked and ground goats horn peppers).
If someone is interested, mail me: dimensionhole at gmail.com

An envelope arrived today!

Well *I* was excited. Screw you, cat.

Fabulous! Look at this haul. Special thanks for the membrillo, that's half of a fine grilled cheese sandwich.

Your envelope should arrive soon, I sent it a day later. Hope it gets through ok.

I'm glad that the package arrived safely, also nice cat.
I forgot to mention (and I couldn't include in your package because it was full) is palm honey, that's syrup made with chilean palm sap, with or without its coconuts (Chilean palm coconuts are between 3 and 5 centimeters wide). So hit me if you want something different to pour over your pancakes/ice cream/lover.

Blatherskite's husband here, and I want to second the thanks, especially for membrillo. I actually put in some quince plants because membrillo is awesome and it's shockingly hard to find in the DC area.

One thing I'm hoping you might be able to help me with. The back of the mantecol bars have a recipe I'd like to try. Between my high school Spanish and Google Translate, I can work out about 95% of the recipe. Only ingredient I can't work out is "1 copita de cognac." The only translations I can find for copita are "little cup" or "little glass." Would that be a shot of cognac? Wouldn't otherwise be concerned, but since it's a baked item I want to get the quantities right.

It's great that you are both enjoying the membrillo, I should have sent a bigger one.
A copita would be roughly 1 - 1.5 shot glass.

Dear Axelotl Farmer,

I would like to thank you for my parcel.

It took nearly 2 months for it to arrive (Aus. customs and post are terrible!)but the glorious day was upon me!!

I opened my package with gusto, it was bigger than I expected and I was excited! Inside I found my three cans of Surstromming as requested and some bonus lollies. I ate the lollies straight away, they were so sugary, I think I got diabeetus.

Gobby knows the smell of death when he smells it.

An indication that you shouldn't eat the contents.

The stench was so putrid that I was arrested for causing:

Women to miscarry;
The weeping of children;
Destruction of the environment;
The haunting of a park;&
A sudden spike in suicide rates in a 1km radius.

As promised here is a video of me trying to eat it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Abl4vAaW8E

Seriously that smell. The dude holding the camera touched it without gloves and he stinks now. He is never not gonna stink again.

It was an awful experience. I'm glad I ate it, I'm not happy about it, but I'm glad I tried it.

Thanks Axelotl.

Yeah, hello? I lost my frog.

Welp, that's surstömming for you!

I'm from Stockholm, and surströmming is a Northern specialty, and I have actually only eaten it once or twice myself.

However, from the look of the contents in the can it appears like sitting around Australian customs really didn't help. It's supposed to be kept refrigerated, as it keeps fermenting in the can, so the surströmming there was probably a little more ripe than it's supposed to be. Some people like it that way, though!

Yesterday I received a package.

No Nikita it's not for you.

I opened it and...

Wow. Tons of Altoids in peppermint, spearmint, honey, cinnamon, licorice and ghost (I think).
Also rice candy, ginger mango chews, violet candy (which my mom told me there used to be here). And lychee and blackcurrant gummies that I've always wanted to buy but .
So thanks Blatherskite for all the great candy.

Hey there, I'm looking for a can of off-brand Dr. Pepper called 'Dr. Bob'. For whatever reason my girlfriend is desperately wanting this stuff from her childhood, and as far as we know, it's only available at Tops Markets and Grocery in New York. If anyone has access to it, please let me know! I'd love to buy a 12 pack or anything possible.

Thanks!

We are legion.

Let's keep this thing alive!

I am looking for another shipment of Japanese wata gum and wata pachi for my boyfriend's birthday (which is a bit off still, but with shipping and potentially moving soon I'd rather just get it and hide it). I also wouldn't mind getting my hands on some weird kit-kats (for me).

What I can offer:
Japanese and Korean drinks, candy, snacks (but not the stuff I want  pocky, ramune soda, can coffee, those little peanut rice balls, mochi, hello panda/the little koalas, and much more)
Jamaican snacks and drinks (champagne cola, plantain chips, whatever)
Some weird Russian candies and snacks (seriously, really weird)
Southeast regional snacks (moon pies, tasty kakes, pork rinds)
Sweet, sweet $$$

Not sure how I feel about mailing cans of soda (would need a real box) but we buy Dr. Bob at Giant here in northern Virginia. It's a sweeter, heavier Dr. Pepper. Definitely have to drink it ice cold, otherwise it's a little thick. A better mixer than Dr. Pepper, though. Where are you located?

edit: oh, Ohio. Hmm, let me see how much it would be to send some---I'll drop by the post office this weekend for a box and see if it's feasible. Maybe I can pad the box with green tea kitkats or something.

I wish you luck with a capital F.

I am in serious need of some:

Coffee Crisp (I had some on a trip to Canada last year and I'm so sad I can't find it around me)
Kinder Surprise
Canadian ketchup

As for me, I live in the southern US--I'm not sure if there are any specifically southern things I could send but I am willing to look!
