Far Cry is the most disjointed franchise ever. None of the subsequent games have anything to do with each other, besides being in big outdoor environments. I know the first one had a cardboard thin cheesy plot involving mutants on a psuedo island of Dr. Moreau. But it still worked, damnit! The whole treating malaria and finding diamonds in Far Cry 2 was so far and away from 1, while still being very video-gamey, did not work at all. That said, despite this one being another story line that has nothing to do with the other two, looks good. I just want back the whole approaching an enemy camp from half a kilometer; observing patrols through your binoculars and then shooting the lock off a cage full of mutants that go on to kill everything.
