Drowned Maiden of the Unending Abyss

Maiden drummed her fingers on the hilt of her sword, impatiently . The prospect of spending Oblivion-knows-how-long on this boat for an unspecified(so far) mission put her nerves slightly on edge.Vagueness had always irritated her. That, and not knowing what you were getting yourself into had been the death of many an aspiring assassin.

Admittedly, attempting to assassinate your captain in the middle of a fight wasn't much smarter. You live and learn. Or die and learn in this case, she mused.

She pushed these thoughts to the back of her mind and raised her glass, grin returning.

"To The sea!"

Drowned Maiden of the Unending Abyss

"Well, 'least we got enough weapons to make anyone near us sorry." Maiden sounded amused as she inspected the weapons on board the ship.

"O' Course it don't mean poo poo if we're the last one's there and the fun's over already"

Maiden's grin widened. "Sounds a hell of a lot better than fuckin' waiting until they're done firing at each other."

She stretched. Goddamn, she hated the waiting part.

"Just tell me where the rum is kept and I'll be fine. This journey is going to be a looong one."

Having already had quite a bit to drink, Maiden stored her belongings her cabin. It wasn't much, mostly mementos of previous jobs; a decorative (and worthless; thing was blunter than anything) knife from a wealthy official, some necklaces, rings. Nothing terribly important, but she felt it was important to her at least.

She noted with interest the surge of essence signaling the beginning of their journey.

Imminent Revelation of Oblivion- Drowned Maiden of the Unending Abyss

Maiden eagerly made her way to the deck, excited to finally get to see the boats weapons in action. The journey to Creation had been pretty dull, and she was getting restless. She'd spent some time dwelling on her instructions; the destruction of the Lintha was of particular interest to her, as she'd heard plenty of rumors in Coral about their viciousness. She looked forward to seeing how good a fight they put.

As for the other order...She supposed she'd just have to keep an eye out for anything unusual. Which was, admittedly, most things nowadays.

Still, depsite her excitement, Maiden shuddered as they entered Creation. It was still something she had a little trouble getting used to.

Drowned Maiden of the Unending Abyss - En Route

Join battle

Finally, excitement! Battle! Finally, something she could sink her teeth into. Or someone, maybe. Maiden drew one of her daiklaves, and prepared to board the other ship.

What HELL just hit the hydrofoils or whatever they were called? Well better check it out. The Prince is gonna be pissed if the boat was broken already. Better get down there and check it out. Everyone else is probably preoccupied already.

What the gently caress? Did this nutjob launch themselves over here? Maiden drew her other sword and grinned. If she was crazy enough to pull a stunt like that, she may actually be worth fighting.

Maiden finally made it up to the deck, extremely unhappy about having her chance uninterrupted by the hydrofoils being underwater.

Huh. Seems like now she wants to talk. Well, may as well let Watcher deal with talking to her; Maiden was certainly in no mood to.

Waiting.

Drowned Maiden of the Unending Abyss - Imminent Revelation of Oblivion

"Anathema andShogunate weapons in one ship? drat. Beats going after some Guild ship!" Maiden's laughed, putting sheathing her weapons.

While she may have messed up her chance to go toe-to-toe with an Immaculate, this other ship sounded like a more interesting prospect. And she'd make sure she wasn't the last one into the fray next time.
