The Prodigy's "Worlds on Fire" live show. The DVD is filmed so well and really captures the energy of the music. I saw this in a cinema a couple of months ago and now I'm getting to actually see it live this Friday. Beyond excited!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a93nPSp17Yw

Wolves in the Throne Room's live performance at Roadburn in 2009 is pretty great too. It's not over done and gives a great impression of what their live show is like.

http://vimeo.com/9159732

Lastly, Devin Townsend's "By a Thread" DVD set is amazing for all the reasons above. Actually, any of Devin's live stuff is great because it's just a guy having the time of his life and it's so inspiring and uplifting to see it. The musicianship is also amazing, especially on the Deconstruction segment of the FOUR DVD SET!

Meshuggah's live footage has always been great. Their latest performance video for "The Demiurge" is just beautiful. Have you seen their "Alive" DVD?

Rammstein too, though a concert on TV fails to compare to the live experience. If anything, watch the live shows before actually seeing them live, that way there's a great feeling of "Hey, they just did exactly what they did on the DVD and it's still awesome!"

Yeah, I've seen Alive. I thought it was great, at least the contents. However I didn't like how they took bits of different shows and put the interviews between them, I would have preferred seeing a whole show in one piece.
Hamburg Markthalle was the first time I saw them live. They played Minds Mirrors, In Death-Is Life and In Death-Is Death as a whole. Loved it.

Rammstein I've seen three times. The one big advantage of being German, I guess.

Two personal bests...

In my mind there is no better filmed live performance than James Brown at the "TAMI Show". Apparently, when Rick Rubin met with Prince in the 80s, this was on a loop in Prince's office. Also, the Rolling Stones have said on several occasions that following Brown's performance at the "TAMI Show" was the biggest mistake of their entire careers.
