![]() Chris Kluwe is an enigma and I think many of us are sick of hearing about him, so here is a thread where you may freely discuss why his latest rant is poorly written and terrible or whatever. So we don't have to deal with him in N/V. Here is his twitter: https://twitter.com/ChrisWarcraft Go wild.

He's probably autistic. Definitely a goon.quote:I mean, let's take this as a prime example. Do you know why I'm chastising you, writers all? BECAUSE I TOOK THE TIME TO LEARN HOW TO WRITE AND CRAFT AN ARGUMENT. I understand the interplay between words and logic, the pacing of a sentence, how to use the rule of three for enhanced emotional impact. I read thousands upon thousands of books and learned the styles of each particular author; I spent time sparring online to hone my techniques and skills; I chose to understand WHY something works the way it does.

I've read every Goosebumps book as well as RL Stein's chose your own adventure books, all cover to cover. I have to admit that the choose your own adventures didn't make much sense to me. I'm no Chris Kluwe.

People can hate on Kluwe all they want but he probably had a helping hand in defeating Minnesota's anti gay marriage amendment so he is cool with me.

For what it's worth I think it's great the his heart is generally in the right place but the fact that every time he does something we have to spend three pages on it is annoying, so, thread.

Yea I don't wanna hate on his gay marriage stance at all. But being right (and holding an opinion 200+ million Americans share) doesn't make you not a smug rear end in a top hat.

Grifter posted:It might be an opinion shared by 200+ million Americans, but I'm not sure what percentage of people in the big pro sports share that opinion. Wasn't there a story earlier about how a few Raiders players complimented Ayanbadejo for his work and sharing his thoughts in such a noble manner and fighting for what is right? He hasn't reported any direct player hate towards him at least, which is a positive sign for it being a bit closer to the ratio we can all hope for to be the truth that it's more accepting than we think. A lot of people just don't have much involvement with the LGBTQ community anyways, so it doesn't even really phase them if they didn't grow up in hatred rhetoric.

Here's an Amazon review he wrote of his friend's book, Air Force Gator:quote:Air Force Gator literally changed my life. Before I heard about this book, I was a 30 year old vagrant living off canned beans and whatever catflesh I could scavenge from the streets of Hong Kong. My days consisted of quick handies for spare change to buy imported American malt liquor, and the occasional bout of public urination followed by subsequent canings. It's snarky and stupid but kind of funny, I wish he'd relegate his "wit" to these kinds of things.

Chris Kluwe kind of owns, most of the times it's pretty clear that what he's writing is tongue-in-cheek, but he's trying to sound eloquent and the context doesn't really translate well via text and he sounds like a dickhead. He's a bit arrogant and has a loose grasp of what rights the first ammendment actually entails but is a pretty smart and funny dude so whatevs v

Kluwe is a moron who happens to have opinions that are seemingly at odds with the majority of football. He's at least starting a discussion which allows for some progress. Good is good at the end of the day even if smothered in fucksocks and cum-wizzlebangs.
